    That bad, eh? :( A mate reckoned I should find something like a Daihatsu Fourtrak, remove the bodyshell and drop the Series 3 shell over the Daihatsu's chassis. I can't help but think this defeats the whole object of having a Series 3 :confused:

    Hi, I'm fairly new to this forum and although I've been into Land Rovers for a while this is the first chance I've had to have a proper "old school" series 3. However, it is RUSTY! :( The box sections of the chassis are literally crumbling away. Should I just scrap it and find a better one...

    Hello! I've been into Land Rovers for quite a few years since helping a college friend restore one during my teens. I currently have a very rusty 1973 Series 3 SWB with a somewhat thirsty 2.25 petrol engine. I'm not entirely sure what to do with it as the condition of chassis box sections...
