What did you do with your Range Rover today

the guy who bought it lives in Yorkshire and he used to be a Land rover mechanic but runs a farm now so he's going to do it up and put it back on air and take it to the Land rover show at Gaydon in May so it's gone to a good home. Most other enquiries were from breakers. Wasn't going to let that...

I've found how they should fit - no bracket required.

    P38A STC3593 RH & STC3594 LH rear level sensors

I think the bracket shown in Rave is the bracket that is welded to the chassis. It's the orientation of the sensor body itself that is in question, as I believe there are four 6mm clearance holes in that bracket and I've seen rear sensor kits online with an additional bracket that has 2x6mm...

    P38A STC3593 RH & STC3594 LH rear level sensors

Thanks, I've found some later part numbers for the rears ANR4687 and the fronts ANR4686 which work for both sides. Do I need the brackets for the rears or do they bolt straight in ? Mine's on springs and the previous owner removed all the sensors, so i've got no points of reference.

    P38A STC3593 RH & STC3594 LH rear level sensors

Are these interchangeable or not ? If they are interchangeable, why have different part numbers ? If they are not interchangeable, is it because the outer pins in the sockets are handed and only the middle pins have the same output ?

    P38 2001 suspension issues

p38 rear level sensor mounting brackets - are they required on a w reg p38 to be able to fit the rear sensors or are they only required on earlier years ? I know the earlier sensors have flying leads attached and the later sensors have no leads and that the mounting brackets for the fronts also...

    P38A Drivers lock

Check the regulator brackets and long horizontal stay arm are both securely riveted in place. On mine the long stay arm came loose at the rear end of the door and mechanism went completely skewiff. I used an m6 bolt and nylock nut after that.

    P38A Radius Arms

Potentially the arm could tilt when the large nut at the gearbox crossmember end is torqued up. You could always slacken the nut off and wedge a steel packer between the inside face of the radius arm and the inside face of the bracket and tighten the nut back up.
