Hi,
The cost of p38 brake accumulators seems to have doubled this year.

I've tried searching by car model and by webco part numbers.

(New to me) is the reconditioning service. Does anyone have experience of this?

Many thanks all

What models did you search.
jag use same.
Saab use similar don’t know about accumulator.
What prices are you finding?

SAAB, some jaguar models and yank stuff use the same accumulator and the price is often lower than for the P38.

What makes you think the accy needs replacing
This fine forum, the enormous communal knowledge and some dash lights 😉

At last years prices, I'd have bought one by now. If they really are £200 now, it could be good to try a refurbished unit - but does anyone have 'first hand' experience of reconditioned units?

'Trust worthy' looking sites close to £200.
Less known sites, £160 (inc).

Searching by model and STC2784

Thanks Doriz, thanks Datatek.

Perhaps one more flush then? Level is good, but dash lights do 'seem' to be more active on a strong slope (regardless of frequency of brake operation)
Bleeding exactly per the procedure in RAVE is essential if you do a fluid change.

yes, I have used a recharged one...seems to do the job, compared to a brand new one, which i bought at the same time... no difference really

Thanks Rob. I couldn't get a response from the market place guy. Looks like I will be buying a recon unit.
