Any suggestions as where to look to find Defenders for sale

@vaoleguy , see here for good selection https://www.carandclassic.com/search?make=land-rover&model=defender&source=quick-filters Also talk to Simon at Motodrome. He always has so good quality correctly priced Landies available and he's a good honest trader with much LR experience...

A bit jumpy in low revs...

For process of elimination have you tried driving without the fuel cap fitted? If the vent hole becomes blocked you'll see fuel starvation under load. This is often very noticeable in 2nd gear when pulling away with engine load and required revs'.

    '86 110 2.5d. 9v at glow plugs.

But do you have a good strong 12v at the battery? You're losing 3v somewhere so this fault needs to found first. Crack open and clean earth wires first, replacing any poor/high resistance wiring first. Once earth/s are 100% proven, then trace back from glow plug feed wire.

    Early 90 headlights not working

Once you've found the fault it's really worth 1. changing the fuse holder to std blade type fuses, and 2. re-wire from the light switch/stalk to 2no new relays, one for each headlight - this ensure low current switching and will save your light switch contacts from burning out. Both upgrades...

    Defender Door Catch alignment

@Suffering Sod , okay - if you've just had a new chassis fitted your issue is with the rear tub-to-sills-to-bulkhead alignment. You need to follow Mike at Britannica's video and get the correct door gaps first. If these are good, next is to adjust the B pillar catch. If there is not enough catch...

Mess/seal/Core plug in transfer/transmission gear change housing

If std looking core plug, yes. Maybe Britannica Mike has a video of these/this as he's recently been stripping/rebuilding an R380.

    Losing fuel prime

@Hicap phill , do you know which Facet model number this is? I'm using Delphi lift pump and this changeover keeps tapping me on the shoulder as it makes much sense rather than having a lift pump fail at an irritating moment/on shoulder of M4/half way up a mountain. eta This one - if so, it...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

From time to time I find myself staring at my Wolfs with 60mm studs and get a little horny over their mechanical porniness. Did I just say that...?

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Don't p!ss around with short studs and 170Nm nut tightening, just buy 60mm wheel studs for your Wolf wheels.

Try here https://www.wearediffs.com/shop-products and where time's short I'd be on the phone to the primary suppliers - someone's going to have one in stock at back of their stores.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Yes, do it. Wolf rims are excellent devices and the best looking wheel a Land Rover can wear. Q? do you carry the spare on the bonnet? If so, do be careful as with the tyre they weigh ~38kgs and std/non-reinforced bonnets can't take this weight. Here's some Wolf porn for your pleasure...
  19. v8250

    Losing fuel prime

If fuel it's either fuel starvation or, as you say, a fuel leak/air being drawn in. Either way I'd be inclined to thoroughly clean the engine/engine bay before trying to fault find so starting with a clean inspection area. It'll only take an hour or so to give a thorough scrub up/remove all oil...
