I had a good inspection this morning, and the pulley tensioner bearing has gone, which resulted in shredding the belt
New belts and a new tensioner pulley ordered and will pick them up today to get the old girl back on the road - with spares also ordered ;)
yes, all turn freely except the big bottom one (sorry not very technical with engines - better in other areas!), which I am guessing is the engine crank?
Guess the engine is still too hot to open and have a look to check where i am at, although i just did a full flush and coolant change a month ago if that helps?
It is a recent belt about 2 yrs old (2k max mileage a year) and i do inspect but never saw any wear.
Will it help driving on tick over with the bonnet slightly open to get air in to the engine?
Annoying that there is no where safe for me to leave it and just over a mile to home :(
I have this on mine, although no pics - sorry.
I found the steering quite heavy with the spring attached (although it did return to centre!), so now I have the spring removed, but at least the damper has been relocated ;)
I am after the Seat belts (female clasps or whatever they are called) that fix through the boot floor and also the centre lap belt, if anyone is breaking a Disco.
Cheers
Stuart
