    Rear door lock internal.....photo?

Well I decided to try and have matching door locks on my 1987 90, so bought some new barrels and thought I would start with the rear door. So, easy enough to take off. Then look for the little plunger and wiggle the key, as per searches I made. Couldn't see a plunger. I know thought I, let's...

    Heater Controls...what am I missing?

Fitting a new matrix has certainly improved my heating, as it had been totally bypassed. lol. Fitted new seals and almost got warm going to work. I just console myself with the phrase...it's a Land Rover! Still the heated windscreen in the Disco is bloody handy.

    Heater Controls...what am I missing?

Thanks for that. I think mine are correct. I understood the principal even though it doesn't have a rudimentary heater bypass to cut off the water. Even an old mini had this, I recall. What I hadn't realised is that the fan switch doubles up as a lever. I should have guessed by the mechanical...

    Heater Controls...what am I missing?

Right cheers. A photo would be handy. I did just reconnect as they were connected but I guess one shouldn't always assume they were correct. I realise the fan is the left control, but are you saying that this also operates the lever on the side of the heater unit? That may make some sense.

    Heater Controls...what am I missing?

Having plumbed in a new heater matrix on my 90 and reconnected the control cables as they were, I was surprised to find that when I move the inner of the two control levers, there was no corresponding movement on the side heater arm. the outer, lever for the temp, moves the top one as I assume...

    heater matrix renewal?

I know this is an old thread, but I tried to take my matrix out and couldn't get it past the turbo pipe so had to put it back together until my new one comes. Just routed one of the cables back into the head. It should come out but mine is 200 tdi conversion so wondered if it is this that makes...

What will keep a German Shepherd in the back?

You may be right but I have already ordered one from Rimmer Bros. If it turns out to be rubbish then it gets replaced. Generally the shepherd is very good, the husky a bit more unpredictable. So we will see. Perhaps I should starts a Land Rover Rover thread. Lol. Dogs and Defenders photos. It...

What will keep a German Shepherd in the back?

Lovely looking shepherd. We all love our dogs but there is something special about a shepherd charcater. Here's my boy. At 2 years still growing. Bugger. Lol

What will keep a German Shepherd in the back?

Lol. Bit drastic but probably do the job. I wouldn't like to be on his sharp end.!!!

What will keep a German Shepherd in the back?

They seem reasonable. Do they require drilling? Boxers are bonkers and lively buggers, but I dare say lack the power and guile of a shepherd, but three of them must be interesting. Lol

What will keep a German Shepherd in the back?

Like the posts I have searched, there seems to be numerous makes and models of dog guard for the 90. However, some seem very flimsy and may be okay to keep a small spaniels or collies in the back, but we have a 45kg Shepherd, who is only 2 and a husky. The britpart one in the Disco does a great...

    Now a 90 owner...what have I done?

It seems there was a new matrix put in but never plumbed in again. I thought i might make up some elbows and link in the two pipes that run to the back if the head and has a not too clever bend.

Thanks. Does the installation look reasonable to you?

    Now a 90 owner...what have I done?

As promised the very mucky engine bay. Note the nice blue insulation tape joining the glow plug wiring and also the fact the heater matrix has not been plumbed in. Otherwise, it looks ok to my untrained eye, although I could be very wrong. lol

    Now a 90 owner...what have I done?

Thanks for the positive comments. I will get some more photos taken to post. These are the advert ones. I will take some of the engine bay, as I would welcome thoughts in the conversion quality. Having said that it needs a thorough clean. The rocker gasket has gone some time ago I think and so...

    Now a 90 owner...what have I done?

Yes, good points chaps, but still, at least its not as bad a s many I have seen and I am under no illusions that I will have the welder out soon. Lol

    Now a 90 owner...what have I done?

Well the deal is done. I went to look at an 87 reg 90 that was on eBay. The chassis alone swung it. Better nick than our 03 Disco 2. Also a nice matched colour scheme. Yes there are things to do, like sort out some leaks and check fluids, and the odd track rod end, but I think (hope) I have got...
