    Dead height sensor or not?

So, in other words it looks like I'm rollocked regarding the ruddy rubber thingies! (Does it mean to get the propper setup you have to buy new radial arms?) As for the newer or older sensors, thankfully ours is a post VA###### model.

    Dead height sensor or not?

Bummer! Now I am getting confuzed (QED). Is it the later model sensors (Post VA#######) that come with the "brackets" and if so, do they still need the rubber thingies?

    Dead height sensor or not?

Wammers, does that mean they can be fitted without the rubber thingy? If you mean both types of senors, yes you can still get them.

    Dead height sensor or not?

As to the rubber thingy, his lordship said it was perished and cracked, but he didn't say if he had removed it or not. As for the sensors being swappable or not, I believe they are. I am saying this because the ones that fit our beast are the ones for the later models.

    Dead height sensor or not?

Good question. Where she is doesn't allow me to see if they are all connected or not. Now, about being connected. During the last "chat" I had with the mech, he started to change his story and part of that change was he said the "rubber connectors" where the sensor arm connects to the radius...

    Dead height sensor or not?

Yep (in my case 55Kmh). It all started when I picked her up. My "Ex" mech had had her in to fit new shockers, Gen II and Polys all round, but the way he jacked her up... we shall just say he screwed up big time. On the way from his garage she dropped onto her stops and now is sitting in front...

    Dead height sensor or not?

Ok, at the mo I can't seem to get the EAS Unlock Suite to play nice with our beast therefore I wanted to know if there was a way. Should I have the beast running or just have the key at the 2nd position?

    Dead height sensor or not?

Can someone tell me please if there is a way to tell if a height sensor is not working?

    Sinking Feeling!

Ok then, if that is what has gone wrong, and it looks that way, will I be able to "clear" the problem with the EAS Unlock Suite or am I going to have to get new senors? I have plug her into the laptop and all manner of faults popped up. I tried to clear them, but I think I didn't do the shut...

    Sinking Feeling!

A GEMS? Ooops, I feel silly now as I truly do not know if it is or isn't. How do I tell. She's a 2.5DSE from 1999. Datatek, as you can see in the photo on the 1st page of this topic, the rear sensors are in plain sight and they both seem to be both hanging straight down. Would that cause them...

Here is a photo of her when he was fitting the new Boges and air-bags, is that what you mean when you say "...hung the axles..."?

    Sinking Feeling!

Thought as much, thanks UK Adam West. Yeah, that is what has been going around my head. Why he did what he said he did is beyond me. Will see if I can get my laptop talking with her tomorrow and see what shows up. I hope for his sake the sensors aren't "dead", it's going to cost him a fair bob...

    Sinking Feeling!

Wammers to the rescue again, good job you're around. So, with what you just said in mind, could I assume that if "he" (El Mechanic) really has gone and "cleaned" the sensors, all might not be right with them and they could be sending the system into chaos? Now a questions for you directly Mr...

    Sinking Feeling!

Hi there, Right, has anyone got an idea what could have caused the following: I have just gone and picked up our P38 from my mechanic after having new Boges, Polys and a complete set of Arnott Gen II (2’s) fitted. While at the mechanics he told me that he had “cleaned” the...

You can also get them for a good price in the UK: Gen IIs UK (and that figure includes VAT.) Those prices on the Dutch site are Ex VAT, so beware.

That's what I have heard and was what helped me make up my mind. I was never really after the extra 2 inch travel of the Gen IIIs and when I heard the GenIIs did actually give a slightly better drive and that they lasted much longer than the Dunnies... well enough said for me.

    Bilstein B6 Yellow

Yes, I think you are right. In fact, if I am not wrong, it was in a thread where I was talking about fitting the Gen IIIs and becaue of what was said I have gone and chosen the Gen IIs instead.

Ok then, stick with the Boges is it. Thanks for all the advise regarding the shocks. Now, as before, what is it about these polyurethane thingies? I hear some saying they are better to have instead of the original rubber ones and yet some say stick with the originals. The problem I find is...

Oh I intend keeping her on air bags. Why the anti Polybushes? I have not heard anyone downing them. As for #$itpart shockers, nowt #$itpart for me. When you say Boge shockers, any idea to which ones, and which would be the best place to get them from over in the UK?
