OEM parts. Boge shockers and rubber bushes are the way to go...
I've build/modified raced and trialled land rovers before, the P38 is as near perfect as you can get on standard suspension...imho,
And keep the air suspension as well.....
Ive fitted Boge to mine and its great like Bikerteacherdave said they have lasted 14 years on mine so thats pretty good going...

I have been looking at poly bushes myself, after much googling and reading various opinions, I will go with original rubber bushes mixed with Polybush's blue bushes for the sway bar. I am about to fit Gen 111 airbags and will report my findings once fitted.
Yes, I think you are right. In fact, if I am not wrong, it was in a thread where I was talking about fitting the Gen IIIs and becaue of what was said I have gone and chosen the Gen IIs instead.I think Datatek made a comment about the Gen IIIs once. Think he said the only major difference was extra articulation and not worth the extra cash?
I decided to buy Gen III Arnotts because every single person I read about that had actually fitted them, described the on road handling was noticeably improved, I am much more interested in the on road handling than the extra off road height as my P38 will spend 98% of it's time on road.
The springs make a huge difference to on road handling, just think back to the original RR with its super soft springs (the rear held up by a Borg self leveller), they would roll at the mere thought of a corner, Arnotts Gen III use the same design as the later Generation RR springs, so I am hoping the general ride quality will be an improvement, but only time will tell.
Whether they are worth the huge difference in price...each to their own.
