The trouble i am having regarding your kind instructions are I'm not technical and my copy of Rave does not have anything you have mentioned so far. Can't find any reference to reverse/brake lights or any diagrams

No power on green/brown wire either side. Ignition on in reverse R selected on clocks. Poked probe right in, can't work out how to separate plug. Tested earth point with meter buzzer probes to dash bolt and door hinge buzzed so that should be good earth. What's next?

Yes it turns out I do have rave. 2 big folders I was given with the car when I brought it.

I downloaded it and it turns out it's the same as the 2 big folders I got with the landy. Been using it to try fix the issue with no luck

I have a basic multimeter, nothing fancy. I don't have RAVE but I do have the manuals for the disco 2 although I could find no wiring diagram in there

Since I brought my TD5 Auto facelift (fogs and reverse lights in bumper) in January the reverse lights have never worked. I made several attempts to fix them with no joy. Bulbs are ok, my electrician mate gave me a hand one day and used a tester to somehow get the reverse bulbs to light...

When was it last serviced, oil and filter change?

Pin for flywheel goes into one of the bolts holding the little plate you will see when you are under there. One 13mm bolt one 10mm bolt. Can't remember what one the pin fits but it will be obvious.

They can be freed up but I have a few spares if needed.

I noticed the pipes looked damp and crusty round the banjo's when I brought the Disco, then yesterday the ACE warning light started to flash and beep and when I checked the fluid it was half way down the bottle. Topped it up and drove it again and after a short drive the fluid had gone again...

My rear ACE pipes are leaking around the actuator. Is this a DIY job or will it need a garage?

My ES has 18"s as standard and drives great. Anyone having issues might want to check other components in the drive train and suspension.

While cleaning up my front arches over the weekend I noticed the bottom bushes on the dampers are pretty shot. could twist the damper with my fingers. Are these replaceable parts or do they come moulded into the dampers? I noticed they are different from the earlier 300 style with a bar...

Mines on 170k, starts on the button, no smoke ever and everything works. if its been looked after then mileage should not be an issue.

Should be a little pin in the corner on the panel the check strap fits to.

If buying a Td5 for off roading get a basic one as they can have a lot more expensive stuff to break when playing in the mud. :)
