Bollocks is it....the limit is 70 mph on a motorway, I drive up to 30,000 miles a year in my daily car most of which is on motorways. The mean speed in the outside lane is probably 85-90mph - now that is more irresponsible because those drivers ‘choose’ to break the speed limit - not a driver...

There have been issues in recent years with the quality and longevity of even genuine LR seals. I spoke with Turner Engineering and Dunsfold LR - both recommended that I source a Dowty brand seal having had issues with other makes.

Always found them generally good. Genuine has been genuine, OEM is OEM etc. Delivery usually takes about a week. Paddocks are arguably quicker but blue boxes are quicker than green ones! :)
As you've paid the garage to fix your issues I would just take it back as I see it as their responsibility now.
Could be a simple earth issue, or a can of worms perhaps?
I think it depends what type of plugs you have. The original 'pig tail' type were about 1.8volts each, were wired in series and needed the resister to reduce the power. The later type plugs needed the 12volts, were wired in parallel for reliability.
