Who's got the oldest running 90/110?

That is a sad story - have many similar ones myself - you have got a landy now though yes?

Who's got the oldest running 90/110?

And my 110 also blocks up inside lanes [dare not play in the fast lane!] So maybe mines a truck!

hi there all not sure where to put this question

Most are either missing or to rusty to read, your chassis plate is the best bet, that's where mot check - or are you hoping for export? Some disagree but I think it's totally alright to re-stamp the number [don't shout about it though!] Number punches available from machine mart. Good idea to...

Who's got the oldest running 90/110?

possibly this one, not oldest for certain but seems mighty original http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201712789601?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Described as a Defender but that's understandable when listing for sale. Would be a shame if it gets converted.

    Hiya!

no, all makes perfect sense, should be some small holes in the floor alongside bottom of battery, hooky bits hook in there - hold em upright and frame thingy ought to have holes that line up [when it's placed atop the battery, beware of shorting the terminals!] then put the nuts on and don't...

    Hiya!

Yes, all should be fine, nothing touching and nothing able to touch should it slide about a bit - a bungee might give a little more peace of mind! Is the bracket a couple of long bits of rod, bent like a hook one end and threaded the other end? And is there a long plate with holes near the end...

    Hiya!

Welcome, good luck. Is battery under seat? if so there ought to be some bracketry etc. Most are long lost! Was there any restraint for battery when you got it? TBH unless you roll it I doubt your battery will fall over!

    Restoring a 110 2.5

Firstly welcome. I agree with Turboman, give it a go as standard - original 110s are getting rare and the 2.5 isn't bad. I believe Turner engineering still do performance parts that can improve it greatly - at least to low compression v8 standard. http://turner-engineering.co.uk/index.html If...

    Tow Panel Light Stays ON

I'm fairly certain if no towball or socket fitted not a test issue, as you say whip the bulb out to be sure. NOT cheeky or illegal! Not there can't be tested. My old Merc is downrated to 3.5 tonne, as originally built had no seatbelts, as such they're not tested now. Good luck with MOT

    Is diesel dead

I agree - not least because politicians need to be seen to be doing something and it's easier to target the few older diesels than the trains etc. No doubt they'll add a carrot like a scrappage scheme.................. When the LEZ was proposed I picked up a leaflet from my local Merc truck...

Welcome and good luck! D2 to new for me to be able to offer any advice but immobiliser probably first place to look. Don't worry about being new to forums - most on here are very helpful/welcoming.

Defender conversion, dino juice to electric

One of the comics featured a Series 1 , IIRC in Marthas Vinyard USA that had been converted - I'll see if I can dig it out, - alas most old milk floats have been weighed in by now!

Oil pressure light after a long run- cause for concern?

Totally agree with the above comments - but I would suggest an old school mechanical/capillary gauge - £30.00 or so, Durite are good - or........................... possibly your oil light is telling you that you eat to many chips!
