    Rear should scrub the tyres if locked. People weld their rear diff up for cheap off roading and they still steering on the road. Front locker however would be hard to steer. Can't say I've tried to steer with my front locker engaged except on loose ground off roading

    I installed my new ashcroft unit into a diff I had spare, tested it on the bench and it didn't leak however I'm not happy with one thing. The 90 degree elbow that goes into the unit itself is facing the wrong way, it's pretty tight as it is and I'm a little apprehensive about dogging this up...

    Mine did that on my old disco and it was the rocker shaft. The threads give way or get over tightened and the rocker shaft pops up. Might not be that in your case but I'd start at the easy top end first.

    Unsure James. The shafts I have are the same as the disco 300tdi ones except the spline count. The question I guess I'm asking is could the seal be removed and let the oil lube the bearings also? Removing the need for the half shaft to be wider at the certain part
