If I were to run early 10spline diff and shafts in my 90 and used the shafts with no flange on the inside. Would it be acceptable for the oil to lube the bearings instead of the grease. It seems early 10 spline shafts with the flange is getting a bit awkward to source and everyone has cheap shafts with no flange

Might help to mention I'm running a disco 300tdi rear axle however 10spline diff and currently I belive Rrc shafts short hub

flange on the inside ?though wheel bearings will run in oil, maxi drive kits used to have an hub oil seal rtc3511 so that oil would run in to hub and lubricate their heavy duty flanges and half shafts

Unsure James. The shafts I have are the same as the disco 300tdi ones except the spline count. The question I guess I'm asking is could the seal be removed and let the oil lube the bearings also? Removing the need for the half shaft to be wider at the certain part

yes it can but you need to fit an oil seal in the wheel hub
