car does have air con. However the belt is missing from the crank pulley to aircon pump. So the state of the aircon system is yet unknown. I may well just get a new stat as preventative maintenance when I do the water pump

Some NGK plus on order with 3mm internal lines for the leak off pipes. hopefully get them fitted Saturday morning. looking into a electric fan upgrade too. Not that I’ve ever even had the slightest indication of the engine overheating. It usually runs on the cold side

So would you say the noise is it starting on less than 6cylinders and then it runs smoother after a while as the cylinders kick in? I’m going to check injector bleed off pipes. How exactly do you check glow plugs? Or is it just easier to replace. Worth doing the timer too?
