I used the enduroline neilly mentioned it was a perfect fit! The bullet one was same specs but cheaper. Hoping the enduroline is worth the extra 30 quid though haha

My experience with the saggy headlining

    Insurance Headaches

Why's it so high! flux usually pretty reasonable. 4k? Do you have no no claims or something?? 12 points? Seems crazy price. Don't undervalue too cheap cars cos more to insure cos more likely to write off

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

If you've ever seen a battery shorted out you'll fuse it! Like little bombs the short circuit amps is few thousands for a second. Makes a mess, melts stuff

Going to look at a 200

    Clunk when pulling away

That's what I'm meaning, poor choice of words now I think It's 82 and 75mm isn't it? I was thinking diameter like across the prop. Cross section w.e Across the spider sounds more obvious :p
  12. alexc2701

    Clunk when pulling away

I think there's only 2 sizes. Measure the cup diameter

    What's that noise?

Also I wouldn't drive on knackered ujs after seeing how they can flip cars Like a grenade going off if unlucky and going fast
  14. alexc2701

    What's that noise?

Get underneath see if there's play by trying to twist the prop. If there's movement in the joint there's a problem. If they're tight the uj's are okay Try turn your handbreak drum too. See if resisance/grind when handbreak off. Should move a little without having to roll the vehicle

    1988 with 200tdi.. which snorkel??

Mine had a diy through top of wing air intake when I brought it. Not so much a snorkel as a lorry air intake pipe That'l probably be easier way to do it. Personally I'd do it the hard way on passenger side through wing. Make a better job. Maybe get a diffirent air box and mount it passenger...

    Re-using copper washers

Alot of things I work on is random ye old size! Easier to fix and reuse everything than replace with parts you can't get! Plus if it's good it's good :p Dowty washers tho. Best thing ever if you have a seep you can't cure!
  18. alexc2701

    Re-using copper washers

Oh and personally if I was buying new I'd advise dowty washers. They're way better than copper ones Virtually never leak and last forever
  19. alexc2701

    Re-using copper washers

We reuse some copper and lead seals at work that are like 80 years old... as long as they still seal it's good haha. They don't wear like like perishable washers. Even giving them a good clean or sand down normally makes them seal when they aren't. They will get harder with more compression...
