THanks for the pics redhand, am actually looking at not fixing the NA Snorkel from Rebel 4x4 or Mantec. I am looking at pictures that have a 200TDI Safari Snorkel fitted to a 2.5 NA.

Hi! Would appreciate it if you can post a few pictures of your snorkel on the outside as well as they way its connected to the air intake on the inside in the engine bay. Getting the wing fabricated is not a problem at all. It can be done here in India.

Thanks a ton guys for all the help. But I noticed that the 200TDi and 300Tdi have their snorkels on the RHS, whereas for the 2.5 NA it has to be on the LHS.

Hi! I want to add a snorkel (raised air intake) for my 2.5 NA, saw the correct one on rebel 4x4, but I prefer the Safari Snorkels (the shape). Was wondering if I can put a 200TDI Safari Snorkel for my 2.5 N/A ?

Thanks Nienty, Nice Landy. I am going to use the same rims or get 16 x 8 alloys with either the BFG 285/75R16s or the MAXXIS BIG HORN MT-762 285/75R16. What about 305/75R16s? The dealer has them ready in stock. The dia is the same as the 285s, will the 305s be too broad for my 110?

Guys, I am thinking of rebuilding my 2.5 N/A or should I just plonk in a 200TDI or a 300 TDi into my Defender 110. How easy is it to plonk in a 300TDI/200TDI? Are there any major mods to be carried out? Are these 200TDI/300TDi engines available?

What rims/alloys do you have to 285/75/16s? Did you have do a 2" lift too. Does it fit without a 2" OME lift?

What lucky guys, you get to play with your landy in the snow. Just love the cold, we guys in India down south have to suffer in the heat of 38 degrees.

Dont like it as the Police in Bangalore use the same colour. Has its advantages / disadvantages. My colour is going to be TONGA GREEN.

Its a 1990 with a 2.5 N/A. Just in yesterdays newspaper. Tata are opening their first premium own showroom for Jag & LR in Mumbai in April 2009. Sadly they will have all the vehicles but the Defender. May be on special order. The indian army is looking at buying over 500 Defenders hopefully...

Gave it a nice pressure job after a nice long drive yesterday. Damn Dusty Bangalore, In ten minutes it was dusty again.

Well a friend and I went for about 100 kms small trip. Just to check for any problems and if the engine is still overheating. Did some mild off roading. Now to give it a good wash tomorrow.
