I ment the pump timing that's all not playing with anything else it's finally working so I'm happy. Going to give the compressor and valve block new seals next and a new air bag on the rear as I burst it.

Ok changed the pump and hey presto it works finally!!! Going to get the diagnostics on it tomorrow make sure fuelling is correct. Starts hot and cold and drives fine now.

Will do. Pretty sure it's the pump. If I cool it down with water it starts again. If it doesn't if fix it then I dont know what it is.

Just replaced lift pump. The only fault is a glow plug fault. I have another pump going to swap it over on Wednesday. I done the timing chains so no slack there and all was timed up correctly. It just gets worse as the engine warms up.

Just the usual won't start when hot. And when it's hot you put it in drive and it won't rev until you get rolling along and stalls when coming to a stop. It's ok when cold.

Ok thanks to both of you I have sorted it. Dodgey connection on temp sensor. Now just the injection pump to do and should be all good I hope.

Hi is there anyone not to Farr from Cambridge with the fuel pump sprocket holding tool and pump removal tool I can borrow for the 2.5 diesel p38. I can buy one but I'll only use it once. I'm happy to collect and leave a deposit untill returned. Will be done this week coming.

Hi wammers I've just changed my gearbox for a 4hp-24. Now I have no gearbox fault on dash but it now won't change gear until 4,000 rpm but it changes gear fine in low range. It says the gear I've selected on the dash. Any ideas Thanks

Yes provided it's the newer box. The older one is longer.

I can only find that people have changed the bell housing and oil pump probably just me doing something wrong will try swapping the parts back later to see if I can get it to fit. Can anyone shed any light on this.

No faults in diagnostic. No air bubbles. What's the quantity servo? I have just found the in lift pump in the tank isn't working. The tank is over half. But it starts when it's cold.
