    Compression test

same here I paid low twenties for an amazon cheapo, as long as it is consistent within itself it will show the problem cylinders even if it isn't as accurate as an expensive commercial tester

to fix or not to fix?

if it isn't driveable you may end up selling at a discount to the already reduced value, a buyer would need to have it recovered to their address and would want to pay less for the vehicle to compensate. most people want to turn up with the cash and drive away. so I would get the clutch done...

    Damzel in distress!!!

if the case is put in neutral then surely you can tow any distance?

Reusing brake fluid used for bleeding brakes?

sometimes I have run a pipe from the bleed nipple to the reservoir - bleeding through an empty system - to reduce wastage, easier with a clutch or front nipples due to proximity.

    Vin plate

as long as it is the right type of body what does that matter? if you make a hard top a soft top or truck cab it isn't what left the factory but it is still a series

    My Series 3 88"

there is just something so cool about a series :D

    Vin plate

I don't disagree with marjons sentiment, though as said earlier in the thread, it is the chassis that is stamped on a landy, the bulkhead plate is just easier to find and it unscrews, replacing it with one with the same details shouldn't be a problem imho.

    Vin plate

its quite easy to lose the vin plate when you take it off and take years to do a small project :D found mine again eventually, then some months later got round to putting it back on :D I think it is possible to get blank vin plates, sure I have seen them for sale with one of the suppliers or...

Bulkhead for 109 6cyl, how to tell which one?

I managed to find a good used bulkhead some years back on ebay for around £100 within easy distance but I was looking for quite a while, mine is just an ordinary series 3 a bulkhead for yours may be harder to come by used.

Bulkhead for 109 6cyl, how to tell which one?

doesn't seem to be a consistently reliable one. according to pegasus' homepage they aren't taking bulkhead orders at the moment. there is an outfit called classic bulkheads in Birmingham some people think they are brilliant others have had long delays. is your bulkhead too far gone, repair...

Asked my wife for a fork-lift

sounds like a lazy sod, had a set of 4 used wolf rims with tyres delivered couple of years back, we got them off the van.

    Name that Landy.....

I would love one of those 110's
  18. S

    Blasphemy! perhaps

+1 that's half the fun of a landy, of course you need a few concours originals but in the main its up to the individual to do what they want with their truck. it would be really boring if they were all as they left the factory.

    Series 3 tunnel flange

looks like they are ok? from their homepage "Please be advised that Pegasus Parts is still trading as normal. Our website was off line for about 10 days in early February, because the hosting company administered our domain name renewal incorrectly. Please note: Our bulkhead production is...
