Or use a normally closed (or switchover) relay. But like others this seems like overkill to me.

Disco 2 Feel Like I'm Losing The Battle

I'm interested (well slightly alarmed...) Looks like an excellent job you're doing.

Disco 2 SLS, no lights and wont go down

I've followed this with interest. It looks as though it would be wise to check new sensors with a multimeter to see what resistance values they show across the full range of movement. Do we have a standard for this? Fery?

Disco 2 Cold climate pas fluid alternative

How about this one: https://www.smithandallan.com/products/transport-specialities/4484-smith-and-allan-cold-climate-power-steering-fluid/ I haven't used it but have had other oils from them and they seem good. My Indy recommends always using cold climate fluid in both steering and ACE. Given...

Am I right in thinking welding galvanised is not advised due to the fumes?

    Disco 2 D2 air suspension

If it's on the bump stops it often "goes to sleep". Try jacking it up using the towbar so it's getting close to the normal ride height.

    Disco 2 Here's a question for ya

It's not in the manufacturer's interest to make them long lasting. They want you to buy a new one..... As Shippers said.

Disco 2 Intermittent Starting Problem (and lack of power)

My fuel pump died immediately after I changed the fuel filter. I guessed that it was as you say a domino effect - having to work harder to purge the system.

    Disco 2 Drive away security

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who actually had their D2 driven away (not towed) when it had been left with the standard locking / immobilisation. I don't expect too many replies...... I have no worries leaving mine parked anywhere although a few years ago somebody did nick my...

Disco 2 Will a re-gas help my air con?

I had mine regassed a couple of years ago and it transformed it. It was only about £30 IIRC. Of course with the current weather there will be huge queues......

Disco 2 Diff lock light comes on if I put my foot on the brake

I've drilled a little hole in the high level brake light shroud so I can see it in the mirror. I did this after carrying out the simple SVS fix as that depends on the brake switch working.

Disco 2 Disco TD5 Auto - TC lockup

The last auto I had was a Borg Warner 3 speed on a Maestro Vanden Plas in the mid 1980s and the Disco one is infinitely better. The shifts are almost imperceptible and it seems to do everything I want. Maybe I'm easily satisfied......

Disco 2 Power Steering pumps and pipes - and a grumble

Exactly...... I'd had to have the car recovered as it had broken down way from home so was a bit stuck. That bloke has lost a lot of my custom (and I think has probably now gone out of business). Oddly enough, a couple of years earlier he had fixed the power steering pipe issue for around £60...

Disco 2 Power Steering pumps and pipes - and a grumble

It's always a shame when people you trust let you down. I used to take my first Disco to a local place with a very enthusiastic and helpful owner. After a few years he joined forces with a classic car restorer and the service level plummeted. I finally went elsewhere when he charged me £500 to...
