    110 rear fog light info

I'm not entirely sure that sarcasm is the best way to find valuable information here in Landyzone. But, good luck with your search!

    Stolen 110

My thoughts go out to you. These thefts go on day by day, and it's not something that can be stopped.

Disco 1 chassis repair advice! and 1 other thing!!

I can't weld but am booked onto a course in August. I have had a couple of jobs done on my Defender which, at first sight, looked awful, but a good general mechanic/competent welder should have no problem at all filling and patching your chassis :D

I have never done this before

It's great to hear that your daughter would like a Defender. Colthebrommie and me have the same problem. My two eldest daughters hate the Defender, the youngest isn't so bad, but only because it takes her all over the place with horses for her favourite pastime  I can't help feeling...

    And another 90 rebuild

Sorry for the delay, I've been fixing another issue. I have no idea why the other round hole is there. It might, as you suggest, be to apply rust proofing.

Not exactly Land Rover, but specific type of LR style drop fastener needed...

I think our local farm shop stocks them. I'm in Ireland so the postage costs could be high. However, if you can't find locally, give me a nod and I will get them and send them on to you. At your cost:D

What have you done to your Landie today.

Laminating strips of my free 3mm aluminium plate and bonding them into the damaged front of my bonnet. That fibreglass resin is a pain in the... to get off the hangs when it goes off . My hands are like an old granny, well a very older than me granny. I decided to buy some rubber gloves...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Managed to get an off cut of 3mm Aluminium plate which is about 18" X 12" for two Euro from a pal, after paying about £16 yesterday to import similar from UK:eek:. Started to cut down individual strips of the sheet, which i intend to laminate and fibreglass into the from to my damaged Puma style...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Yes, it's a shame that it needs repair, but I think it will be beneficial to the bonnet in the long term. I know what you mean about customer service, and when it does come along it's such a positive attitude.:D

What have you done to your Landie today.

Good morning Neilly and thanks for your support. The repair does look straight forward and I have sent the MD, of the Company which supplied the bonnet, images of the damage and proposed repair. I have also spoken to him on a number of occasions and he is, without doubt, a very reasonable guy...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Trying to fit the Puma style fibre glass bonnet which has caused a few issues. The first problem was that the catch striker bolt which is bedded into the front of the bonnet, which was clogged with fibreglass resin. Finding the correct tap to clear out the crap was difficult. The next part of...

    Bonnet swap

Sorry that I can't help you Jason. I'm trying to fit a puma style bonnet to my Td5 and would love to have yours but live in Ireland so it's out of the question. Your Defender looks great

Hello Mr Blue Beasty. Can you tell me if I can move my recent posting from the Land Rover Defender forum to the general forum? I posted an item about the rebuild of my Td5 front end and, whilst it's had 50 views no one has passed any comments which is why I posted the item in the first place...

I would just like to say

Ah come on . You didn't marry a woman the same age as yourself did you? I made the mistake of marrying a younger one, on each occasion, and now ended up with herself working and me cleaning  It's the price we, well some of us, pay for our lust of pretty girls

Started update of Td5 front grill & bonnet

I'm hoping that someone in the zone might have some suggestions as my update of the front of my Defender might progress. I am partway into the project, have no garage and am dependent on rain free sessions to finish. I am also going to be fitting a different grill, headlights, new bumper and...

Who to insure my defender with?

Lucky you in the UK. I'm here in Ireland and have just received a letter from AXA thanking me for renewing my policy with them, something I haven't yet done. The price has gone up to €726.76 fully comp with protection on no claims. Last year it was €480.00. I do approximately 4,000 km per year...
