For Sale FREE wheels and tyres

No, but you're only 12 weeks too late, they were yet another eBay listing that was paid for and never collected so they went to the tip, one a week.

    Stolen for ram raids

Possibly a little ray of sunshine for landy owners in my area - https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/news/derby-news/live-derby-post-office-cordoned-2132589 They've found an easier way of doing it and now only need a quick getaway car. Sickening story though - right below somebody's home.

    Son missing

Just logged in for the first time in ages and spotted this. I'm very sorry for your loss, as a parent I know something like this is every parents worst nightmare. My thoughts are with you. Andy

    another sva question for you.

Just search for DVLA points system, should explain it all. Personally I would buy a 130 chassis with v5 and build that instead, DVLA are a nightmare to deal with.

    galvanising

For galvanised stuff I used two companies, one in Nottingham who charged about £170 for a car load of stuff, all receipted and guaranteed, VAT etc - all above board proper job through the front door. Took three weeks. I then used a firm in stoke on Trent who charged 30 or 40£ cash for half the...

My First rebuild - 110 station wagon

That's it - your good lady will be ringing you tomorrow, 'Al, I've got a puncture, where's the spare?':p If I make one I'll have it go across the door and latch on the tub, so it doesn't touch the door at all, futureproof for if I ever fit a drop down gate. Removal of the wiper motor, no...

My First rebuild - 110 station wagon

I may have said in the past that I actually want a top / bottom opening tailgate setup on this one day (think Range Rover) but Parts supply and cost have put that on hold for a while. Tired of wiring for a bit, I have ripped the crusty bottom skin section off the original rear door to inspect...

    Changing 110 SW windows

There is indeed a thread somewhere describing how to do it. I've read it and you basically take the window out, separate it, swap some bits, fit a single pane of glass n reassemble. It can be done.

    Rear A Frame Ball joint

When you've took the nut off push the pin back in so the joint doesn't fly out when it frees. Make sure the axle cannot rotate.

    Insurance

Maybe so, and I don't doubt you for a minute, but think of it from the insurers point of view. They've heard it all before and all they want is your cash and as much of it as possible.

    Insurance

What your describing is a classic case of Daddy putting little Johnny on his policy so he can try to save some cash. Insurers are wise to this so you aren't going to get a great deal of support / sympathy. Your lad would be better insuring himself as the main driver with you named. It's more...

    Changing 110 SW windows

Mine had just plain glass in when I got it but I bought a used pair of windows instead. Glass is gone now btw. Best thing would be to fit van sides from a series 88". Any bodging with sheet over the holes would look carp.

Saying good bye to the double cab

TBH I'm surprised myself that there's so few for sale as there's usually more than there is currently on eBay, and better condition. There's another newer one with the side caved in but that would require a new side. If you've got time to get stuff together you will snap one up soon I'm sure...
