Help police have seized my pride and joy

I'm not the first to make such a suggestion and won't be the last. It's not really ringing it because he's not got any identity to cut off or cover up, just a pile of assorted parts that are already assembled. What's the alternative?

    200tdi running fault

Are the hoses connected from the turbo to IC? Did you put a new timing belt in before installing? You say you changed the pump - do you mean the actual FIP? Is it timed correctly?

    200tdi running fault

First, check the fuel pump to turbo pipe, small bore pipe that they use to communicate, then all air inlet pipes as they de-laminate although it's unlikely if it was ok before. Are the injectors your original or were they in the new engine?

    Stainless fixings in UNF

If they're being used in a fresh application (not screwed into an existing thread) why not just use metric? I've very little experience with funny threads like unf etc, obviously a finer thread means you can apply more torque to a fixing, put it under more load. Head bolts, suspension, tow bar...

    Stainless fixings in UNF

It's not playing, you're correct, it is the makeup of the steel. A stainless bolt is made of stainless steel. Coated bolts are mild steel with zinc or whatever coating. What are the bolts for? Stainless has different properties that affect stretch + shear strength, poor quality stainless...

    Parasitic Drain (Not child related)

    1. Don't do that. Post pics of your alternator for further advice. 2. 1.5A is roughly the draw of two tail light bulbs (I think) 3. CCA is what thebattery can deliver in one big hit so not relevant, we need to know the ah rating.

Waist seal on exterior of window. Missing something?

If you look at the door skin, as it folds, behind that is a steel section front to back, made of two pieces spot welded together. Pull the skin away slightly you will see the steel sections turns out towards you about 10/12mm down. The fold on the skin should sit on this with the steel sticking...

A bit long winded but.... Tool Boxes

I bought a snap on one earlier this year with loads of snap On, mac etc stuff in it, sold the tools and ended up over £100 up and a free 7 drawer bottom cabinet. I did go on to sell the cabinet anyway to fund another mountain bike but if you keep your eye out with a bit of patience it can be...
