Yes because you aren't modifying the signal for control purposes. Your tapping off the line to read the voltage and then send it to the gauge in the instrument cluster. Do whay you want. I was saying you can get it reading better. I'd prefer the dash than another dial as its less clutter in...

    Disco TD5. no access..

I meant behind the windscreen, but oh well. Wrong spot anyways :P

    Disco TD5. no access..

My bad. Thought it was infront of the windscreen.

    Disco TD5. no access..

You could try using the key right up close to the top of the centre of the windscreen. Even give the roof a whack with your hand as usually the earth lead is the issue with the received for the RF module. Might just get it working enough for you to get in and solve the problem.

    1. Yes I know this, but to make it more accurate, you can read the voltage to the ecu from the sensor and make a converter for the dash input. 2. Yeah, I read that post and completely agree with you. If anyone actually looks at what those codes mean, they would understand that they retard...

By making a signal converter that changes voltage into pwm. If the injector codes are wrong, then the fuel timings could also be out. Its more than likely not this, but its worth checking. I do know that I had some wierd power issues when my injector seals had gone (the copper end, not the...

Have you checked the injector codes match whats in the ECU, more importantly though, if your suffering these issues and getting the correct boost without "misfires", I'd be checking the cat isn't blocked, you have the right fuel pressure, the fuel filter isn't blocked and that your injector cam...

Still passes yes. And I think your just being a perfectionist. Conversions are never perfect, but I already mentioned how it can be corrected. I'm not actually sure what the pulse output of the D1 road speed sensor is, but if its 8000 pulse per mile, then it should be completely compatible...

Personally I agree that gauges are better than nanocom. But you kinda need both to diagnose engine management issues

As for sticking with the 300tdi, had one, was good. But I love the TD5 off road and on the road

D2 Dash isn't as complicated as your making out. But this went into a D1 anyway so the dash is different. Fitted a temperature sensor housing into the top hose for the D1 dash to read the temperature, all the warning lights get sink current through the ECU. The speedometer isn't actually...

disco 1 too disco 2 conversion

No it doesnt. I have done a TD5 conversion into a D1 and all you need is the wiring loom that attaches to the ecu and the engine ecu. You don't need the abs, bcu etc. JUST the engine ECU You can get it deimmobilized

If anything, the EGR is the only thing not blocking the cat up haha. But it has other detrimental effects instead which in my opinion are worse than clogging the cat. Yeah a catch can is useful, but the turbo seals will bleed oil over anyway. Lessening the amount of oil being put through the...

    Td5 no power

De Depends on the fuel used, how well serviced the vehicle is etc. So if your engine is well maintained, likelihood is the engine isn't chucking too much crap into the catalytic converter, resulting in a good cat. Poorly maintained/driven vehicles will produce more smoke clogging the cat. As...

Yes I know this.... I thought we were talking about the gains from a deleted cat...? Should also point out that larger intercoolers just result in more turbo lag, situational, really depends what your after.

    Td5 no power

Hahaha, I think you completely misunderstood what I just said. :p I didn't say it was worth bothering over, but just deleting the cat won't give you a power increase. What it will do, is build intake pressure faster due to having less back pressure enabling a higher flowrate over the turbo's...

1psi in tuning terms when mixed with the correct amount of fuel, is actually quite a rise. But to see the benefits, you'd need a remap.

I'm sure it can be done as it's only the rear end thats slightly different from a mounting perspective. The D2 also doesn't have the seat belt tie rod mounts, they are integral to the body. I'm sure the main difference is the 4 mounting points on the rear end, which alot of people tell me they...
