LT77 Jumping out of 1st gear

Yup. Deffo sounds like it's just worn. Feel up to a box rebuild challenge?

Not just a sticky barrel I'm afraid. Slightly bent key due to being forced in the past, and sometimes it just won't turn. So replacementbarrel and drivers door handle are being sourced, plus 2 new immobiliser keys, and a Nanocom for the coding, and other issues!

LT77 Jumping out of 1st gear

Hmmmm. With modern helical cut gears, putting acceleration onto a gear should not force it out of gear. Does sound like a bit more than just adjustment issue. How many miles has the box done?

Well, a quick little job for this evening. NSF headlight has water in it , about a tablespoon full. So decided to remove said headlight and dry it out. LT77 Jumping out of 1st gear

Does sound like a worn first gear to me. My old series pansies used to do this when the 1st/reverse gear was worn, or had thrown a tooth. Does yours "chink chink chink" when in first and feel the vibration through the gear lever?

The Disco will be OBD II compatible, but if you want to " protect" against oil pump failure or burst hoses, just keep an eye on your gauges/warning lights. You could add a relay set up to trigger an audible warning for oil pressure if you really wanted to.

Electric issues + clueless girl. Help!

Right. I would start with the basics as there appear to be so many systems affected, the likelihood that it is a single "black box" is unlikely. For me the clue is in the slow turning of the engine and intermittent stopping of other systems. It does sound like a bad "major electrical route"...
