    P38 2.5 hot start issues.

Hello everyone. I know this is a covered subject as I've gone through everything recommended. I've replaced my in tank fuel pump. Fitted a non return valve. Replaced the olives and union's at top of pump. My car will always start. But after a fair few cranks and then a big puff of diesel comes...

    2.5 gearbox issue

That's what I mean. All that trouble. Because either a recovery service forgot to remove it or someone was putting fuses in willy nilly in the hope to fix something. Still I'm. Slowly getting there and starting to learn the car. The other day I left all my windows down with my dog in the boot in...

    2.5 gearbox issue

Yeah I know. That's what I'm. Saying. Previous owners had the trouble obviously. I was stumped through lack of knowledge. Little check in the owners manual and a look in the seat and shes all gravy. I'm. Well happy

    2.5 gearbox issue

Little update to all my gearbox issues. Car wasn't running right. Wouldn't go about 3500.no sports mode or changing from high to low. Motor was previously unplugged so. Thought it was that but fine when I tested it. Turns out ever since I got the motor. Fuse 11 was in turning the transfer box to...

    2.5 gearbox issue

Great thank you. Put it back in high. Think I need a new sensor to tell the car what it's in. The motor works. I tested it. Then test drove it. Was still in low. So just put the 12v to the pins to spin it. So if the motor works. And when it's connected it tried to spin. Does this mean its...

Hi guys. Recently had my. Engine changed. Thought its time to start on the transmission. I kept getting the select neutral message. Its been stuck in lo but driving fine. Looked underneath and the motor selector thing was unplugged. Plugged it back in to see if this stopped it. Now it says its...

Probably me to be honest trying to get it running previously tried it because I changed the engine. That was why it wouldn't start after I changed the pump. That's not why the pump wouldn't prime. It was dead. It primed and then I changed it.to start it. Thanks for your help though bud.

Thank you to all involved. I powered the old pump remotely and it was dead. Motor must of got stuck. Next day 12v applied freed it up for the night then obviously died. My mechanic said its not uncommon for a pump to be intermittent as it breaks down so I bit the bullet and got a pump and fitted...

Just the info I was after. Thanks. I'm going to put the newly charged battery in and try the security learn. I think it could be to do with this as it's had so. Much changed lately. Hopefully I'm right.

I'll look into it. Thank you. Yes it's fuse 39 but to be honest like RangeRoller previously mentioned it's more than likely the constant cranking and heating of plugs and locks and unlocks I've been doing trying to get the intank pump to fire up. I'm sure it's the wiring to the pump rather than...

    Nanocom. Needed in southampton

Well currently it won't communicate as I've left a nearly dead battery in while the other charges. I'll leave it until after work tomorrow so it's got some real life in it. And look through it. Could air in the system cause the intank pump to not come on then? I just need to test the pump as...

I do indeed. When I get to drive the thing. Haha. Thank you. I am learning quickly. I'm aware that in ten seconds if I take the clear pipe from fuel filter off I should recieve 180ml of diesel. However I'm getting nothing. There was a small amount left in the hose before and a bubble yes. But...

I've got a nano com. Now. Ecu and becm and key fob fixed and synced. Out it all back in. No fuel pressure to filter so I tank pump wasn't priming. Next day. Primed and run. Next day dead. Any ideas? I'm. Going to hardwire the pump though a switch and the inertia to get it to my mechanics but can...
