    The lemon drives like new

Yes I have and yes it is comfortable ect and being a hgv and a psv mechanic for the past 16 years I have had plenty to do with air suspension and just a personal thing I prefer the simplicity of a good old prehistoric spring

    The lemon drives like new

I know it's very non purist vehicle, some animal may have trimmed arches and put big wheels and tall springs on it  do like the springs tho and I find it's not uncomfortable and can't rip an airbag open down a track in the middle of nowhere ;)

    The lemon drives like new

I know there is a lot of people that don't like spring converted p38's but it certainly doesn't feel uncomfortable imho and certainly one less thing to go wrong

Just wind and drizzle down south :(

    The lemon drives like new

After putting off all the jobs that needed doing for the mot like any normal mechanic does, I finally pulled my finger out and spent a few very late nights after my normal 12 hour shift and finally got it all done, my list included, front wheel bearings , axle steering joints both sides , axle...

    P38 extended brake hoses

Sorry for the rather late reply been a rather hectic few days ,it is like the one in the box picture without the lines running across the axle , the problem I seem to have found is the old type extended kits are readily available but the one for the later set up is not,

    P38 extended brake hoses

Mine is 2001 and the setup is completely different to that will take a picture of it later but the only has one Flexi per side

    P38 extended brake hoses

Does anyone know if any extended brake hose kits are available for the late p38's I ordered one kit that was for all models but they only fit up to 1996 and the rears are done in two halfs per side and mine is a longer single Flexi each side ?

    P38 diesel fault codes

I reckon my parts bill can't be that far behind Flossies on his build thread the way mines going

    P38 diesel fault codes

Mines a 2001 EGR model so it's brown plug which is the late 98 on one from what I can gather

    P38 diesel fault codes

I know the wiring side of it is OK as had the loom out of it when my fuse box died and done a pin out continuity test on the whole loom, had it apart and the injector plug registers open circuit instead of the 180ohms that it should be so I'm guessing another 200quid plus bill for parts again if...

    P38 diesel fault codes

My scanner doesn't have that on there, has mg per stroke which is within tolerance and all the normal like fuel temp air temp map sensor etc which all seem somewhere around where they need to be the only odd thing I could find was the air temp said - 47 but I'm sure I read somewhere that the egr...

    P38 diesel fault codes

I have checked the wiring for the sensor and its open circuit so I know that's faulty as had it apart yesterday and seems odd that it runs fine no diesel knock or blue smoke to suggest that the timing is out

    P38 diesel fault codes

I have faults codes 1 and 5 I know one is the injector sensor but the other one is has a description of fuel amount mechanism is that the advance solenoid in the pump? And would it be caused by the fact that the injector sensor has given up? Unfortunately I don't have access to nanocom and have...

    1996 P38 2.5 DSE Non starter!

The stop solenoid is on the injection head at the back of the fuel pump where pipes come out looks like a 27mm nut with a wire on top(normally covered with a little rubber boot). Have you checked the metal fuse on the glow plug relay that's tucked in with the ecu on the battery tray??
