Source for TD5 Disco Engine Mounts

Good to know, thanks Are LR usually any good at advising on that sort of thing or are we likely to be in the dark for ages do you think?

Hi Guys, My engine mounts are knackered and I'm set on getting genuine ones Anyone know where has genuine KKB500750LR mounts in stock? Can't find them anywhere! Checked with John Craddock and they've not got any Thanks

    Factory Coram Bottle Jack Issues

Looks like I'm going down the rabbit hole then!

    Factory Coram Bottle Jack Issues

I would rather get it back up and going if I can, I only really plan on using it on the side of the road if I have to and use a proper trolly jack to actually work on it as they are so much better like you say I topped up the oil using the fill hole with the rubber bung on the side of the...

    Factory Coram Bottle Jack Issues

Screw is up tight without going silly, last thing I want to do is make it more broken! I did take it all the way out to make sure nothing looked off and pour some oil down there and there were no obvious red flags Shame they have got spendy as I would prefer to stick with a factory one if I can...

    Factory Coram Bottle Jack Issues

Hi All, The standard D2 bottle jack has been giving me grief I've topped up the oil level and bled as per the other threads on the topic but no joy It will raise intermittently when I press down on it hard but otherwise it just pumps with no resistance or effect Anyone had a similar...

Disco IAT Code - MAP Sensor

New MAP Sensor was due in the end - stuck it on today and we're fully back to normal so all is well again

Disco IAT Code - MAP Sensor

I'll see what the nanocom says in instrument mode and cross fingers its not totally buggered, good to know it is important enough to replace it if it is though Cheers

Disco IAT Code - MAP Sensor

Hi Guys, The TD5 in my disco has started giving the code: (4,1) INLET AIR TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT, LOGGED HIGH From a quick google it looks like the MAP sensor also has the IAT sensor inbuilt and so needs replacing. (I've thoroughly cleaned it in the last couple of thousand miles and have fully...

    Disco 2 Removing D2 Crossmembers

I ended up cutting the braces with a grinder to then cut the heads off of the bolts The captive nuts knocked off the rear nice and easily but the front ones were more of a faff - there was very little clearance between the bolt thread and the chassis so it took some drilling as well Found a...

    Disco 2 Removing D2 Crossmembers

I have been meaning to get a proper gas torch, would that do the just almost as well or would it not be localised enough?

    Disco 2 Removing D2 Crossmembers

I'm too far along the journey of destruction to give the ATF Acetone concoction a go but it definitely sounds better than WD40! I'll try it next time I'm in this situation and hopefully save myself the pain I'll most likely give the local breakers a ring and see how much they'd want for a pair...

    Disco 2 Removing D2 Crossmembers

I'm attempting to take both of the cross members out as I need to drop the sump and the hardware for the rear one wants replacing since half of the bolts are missing / snapped Hoping to knock off the captive nuts with a cold chisel and just put on new nuts and bolts I've had an absolute war...

Disco 2 TD5 Radiator Replacement Options

Excellent, I got a bit carried away and decided I wanted fancy new things before looking into if I can fix what I've got as usual! I'll stick some sealant on the thread and if it solves it I'll probably hold off on the purchase Thanks for the words of wisdom as usual

Disco 2 TD5 Radiator Replacement Options

Hi Chaps, anyone got any recommendations / experience with aftermarket radiators for a td5 Disco 2? My original one (EU3) has started leaking from what looks like the top passenger side where the screw for the plastic fan shroud goes through for some reason?! Wouldn't mind going for an...

    TD5 Fuelling Woes

I must confess I didn't even know it existed when I was buying parts but luckily the garage had a few lying around so it got replaced with a new one at the same time as the new FPR went on

    TD5 Fuelling Woes

That does add up with mine - the previous owner had gotten an absolute cowboy to do the fuel pump a couple of years ago, they hacked the carpet to bits and fitted one of those suspiciously cheap ebay specials claiming it was OEM. So it really wouldn't surprise me if they threw some silicone on...

    TD5 Fuelling Woes

It is an interesting one - the only way of really knowing for sure would be to try out some of our suspicions and replicate it and I'm sure as hell not putting my wallet through that again!

    TD5 Fuelling Woes

Where do you tend to fill up? I usually go Texaco, might be one of the additives they put in reacting with something? I doubt there's any weird / different liner to the tank or something so I don't see why it'd be any different to any other car
