Mine arrived today as well. I don't think he's stopped making them. But he's lost his workshop & has to make them at home. I have to say they are an awesome piece of kit.. and well worth the money.

It int about the weight though is it. It's about the fact that they're so fecking unstable that the slightest bit of extra weight is likely to have em on their sides. Carrying the load int the problem. It's keeping it on it's wheels.. But then who goes offroading with a rooftent on??

Crossmember has arrived from Pressbrake. Just waiting for the instruction manual to arrive So I can figure out where it all goes :o :D

Engine number matches. Glass is original number on chassis is visible. Got the thread on here as proof of swap. Can't see where the hassle is..

Easier to just take it to be checked. Never understood why peeps want to keep same reg. It makes no difference to the way ths car drives. Or the speed at which it rusts out and falls apart. .

+1 I'm gonna have to SVA mine. As a 2nd hand chassis isn't classed as like for like. :Cry:

the front damper mount is on the axle?? or did you mean steering damper?? And he's not replacing outrigger he's repairing the mounting points on the bulkhead. I've got a Chassis I'm renovating, in the workshop. I'll measure it up next time I'm down there, though it could be a couple of days.

Mine was doing same turned out the A frame cross member was rotten and had detached itself from Chassis :eek:

1st 90's weren't sold to the public until End June 1984. so either it's one of the earliest 90's sold in which case it's worth £10K fully restored. or it's a series 3 with a defender front end. or it's a 110 reg plate and it's a ringer..

Started cutting the outer skin off my "spare" Bulkhead, today.
