    On a 300Tdi the gasket between the coolant pump and the engine block is a common failure (just replaced it on my 110) so possibly the same on a Td5?

    Dat be true. Annoyingly I have to admit (as a car) it's growing on me, just like the D3 did. But having said that there's no way I'd contemplate buying one - Defender / Series are the only true Land Rovers.

    I've been having coolant issues as well (now sorted) - almost identical to you. My suggestion would be before you take it out check it each time (and keep some water with you). If it's below the level then fill it up to the level and as soon as the temp gauge hints at moving check the level...

    Well considering the maximum pressure on my BFGs is <60psi I wouldn't particularly like to run it over 50. I think the major problem with running which high-pressures in the tyre are if you hit something at speed then you're likely to pop the tyre of the rim. I tend to go visually on the tyres...

    My LR manual has fairly high tyre pressures in it (although I do run it at those pressures) but it does have two - one for heavy loads and one for not. The heavy loads was about 45psi, from what I remember, on the rear.
