    EAS problem

I'm a bit further down the road with this now. Valve block is fine. I put it back together ran round london all evening with it. Got home and the problems back. The pressure in a reservoir rapidly drops when the compressor runs. Does anyone know if the compressor is exposed to full tank...

    EAS problem

Thanks all. I must admit I did see that thread. I had already stripped my valve block down and it's spotless and shiny inside. I fitted a second valve block which I had spare on a reservoir i bought for £20.00 but that seems to have a problem with two of the solenoids. I'm getting a valve...

    EAS problem

Hi all. Ive been around most air suspension problems with my Range Rover now. But this ones new. My hawkeye shows that when the compressor runs to fill the tank it's running but the tank pressure drops off to zero. The compressor sounds laboured as if the pipe is blocked. I pulled the...

90 Chassis swap with a second hand one

I've noticed the other problem if using a 2nd hand chassis is scrapping your old vehicle (chassis) as there isn't a section on the V5 anymore to say you scrapped it yourself. You have to do it through one of the vehicle recyclers. So I guess you'd have to take the old chassis to them so they can...

    LT95 fluid transfer

Thanks James, Glad I checked. I would have been pushing it in trying to stop it coming out of the box.

    LT95 fluid transfer

Hi all, I'm just about to take on this job. To save myself the headache and just to clarify. Do I need to stop the shaft pushing further into the box. Or stop it coming out of the box towards the back of the car?

    Iv ruined my landrover

I wonder if it might be worth cutting a slot into the drive flange. Knock a chisel into it to open it up or possibly crack it in half and take it off that way. Might be quicker than cutting the outer cv shaft?!?

    Removing tyres the manual way.

Thanks Mark!! Some good pointers there. Especially about taking the tyre off the wrong side of the rim to start with. Oh yeah they're 36" levers. I thought leverage would be my friend but to be honest I wish I bought better quality shorter ones. The ones I have are a bit flexible to say the...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

I must admit I've never had any of my landy tyres balanced. Never had any ill effects from it either. I was always surprised such a large tyre isn't way off balance, but they're fine upto 55 which is where I roughly max out. Neither tyre fitters nor 4x4 place balanced them either when I had...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

Haha, I'm not a cowboy. But I am a cheap-skate. Barley, yeah I do exactly the same with my road bike tyres. Couldn't feel anything on the inside of the tire. The hole is so small it looks like a thorn hole. But would a thorn make it through a 10 ply tyre? we did drive over loads of fallen...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

Well I have to say it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. My log splitter didn't arrive yet but I thought I would give it a go anyway. I have to say the hardest part is getting the rim out of the final half of the tyre. But if you're just putting a new tube in then of course you only...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

I'm using Michelin xzl tyres which say tube or tubeless on the rim. Also I made sure I fitted the valve stem adaptors. I'm thinking it may be grit stuck in between the two halves of the rim on the inside as I recently had them grit blasted and I painted them. it's always tiny pinhole leaks in...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

Right I'll let you know how this goes then. I've ordered an 8 ton hydraulic log splitter. I tried the high lift method but I couldn't get the bead to break. Back of the car wasn't heavy enough heh. I didn't try hitting it though. I've been using michelin tubes but I've either been really...

    Removing tyres the manual way.

Hi all. I'm getting a bit tired of paying people to remove and refit my tyres when I'm getting tube punctures. 6 in just as many weeks. I've bought a log splitter on the bay with the intention of making it into a bead breaker. What do you think my chances are of getting Michelin 7.50 10 plys...

    Greenlaning nr Guildford?

I'm starting to think of investing in a Bead breaker to do them myself. Costing me a fortune keep taking the things off and putting new tubes in. I've seen a couple of ppl do it with their high lift but I don't think those Michelin beads will break very easy. Seen a few full tyre changers on...

He did look a little suprised when we all turned up. I just told him we came off the byway half way up the road. I'm on Tubes Ed, I had my rims shot blasted and I painted them recently but I have the feeling there may be some shot blasting grit stuck in-between the two rim halves that I didn't...

Blimey yeah we were right next to that, glad there wasn't any pot shots at us as we drove by. I got another puncture by the time I got home yesterday. Thats 6 in just as many trips. I think I need to take a look at the inside of my rims.

Hi, Sorry I can't help out with this one. I'm heading of to a hotel tonight for an early start at work tomorrow in gloucester. There is a place called inside out 4x4 in Dorking. I've never tried them. They are in Capel just south of Dorking. They're open 8:30 tomorrow.
