Yep I jacked it up on the middle cross member either side of the car. Result....One cross member buckled and the other one collapsed resulting in a new section needed to be welded in

A reasonable rule. My bar is ‘As long as the cost of repairs is significantly less than the cost of financing another vehicle’. I am in that boat, need an ird for mine which is cheaper (I can't afford) getting another car this year. I also need it doing asap as I will be doing lots of miles...

Also check the battery cables one might have dislodged, this happened to me the other week. Went shopping and returned to the car only to find nothing happening when turned key, I knew it was not steering lock issue as I could turn the wheel, poped the bonnet and negative cable had come off

Take it apart and reseal it

Walk away save up the extra cash and buy an F2

I agree first port of call and that also tells us you need to do the one wheel up test AaaaaaSAP!

I agree rear diff mount if it sounds like its coming from the middle (I know that does not make sense but have it checked)

Is that all you can tell us? Could be roll bar bushes, Could be Rear diff mount bushes, could be drop links. What kind of sound and where does it seem to be coming from (Front, Middle or rear)
