Mine has a rough idle but only with the air con/heater on, I turn that off when sitting at traffic light as it goes to normal when I do that

I will troubleshoot further but it will be a while I am about to start a month long working away from home job so the car won’t get used much until March

Oh and I forgot to mention that I was told the Alternator bearing is what is causing the whining sound in the engine bay (Yes the sound is constant with the accelerator petal being pressed whilst the car is parked and goes away if driving and I dip the clutch pedal)

Thanks Nodge, I do have phone controls on the Steering wheel I suspect I just need to check fuses and where the BT box is so I can check the cables. I do mean "special program off warning on the dash" But it is random and it only happen once at start on the frostiest of days the other times...

I finally bought a 2007 Freelander 2 SE it has some issues listed below and hopefully we will be discussing how to resolve them on this thread :) It has just over 113,000 miles with a near complete service history. At 100,000 it had a new cam belt and water pump. Nearly everything works...

It also is wicking along the head liner which was alway sopping wet above the boot space

On mine the plastic gutter at the roof line that the window slots into has a longitudinal crack in it and the rain runs down the inside of the glass and fills the boot box up with water

I bought a new cheap sensor and still had the same issue, I bought an expensive sensor and the problem went away and stayed away

Did you buy a cheap £10 ABS sensor or did you spend more than 40 notes on it?

I would change the boots on the half shafts while your at it

I found the only way I could fit the brake switch was to remove the drivers seat, that way I could get right in there and see what I was doing. If doing and electrical work disconnect the battery first

I will give you £500 for it

Why a 2001 TD4?

Well I never, Mine does this and I thought I had a short somewhere LOL. I have thought about this for years. Its one of those "I will get round to it one day" Things. I like problems that solve themselves :)
