    I'm all forward on blanking EGR and cleaning inlet manifold, also check intercooler to inlet hose for splits. knock when changing gears is probably rear dif mounts need changing

    have you tried Linux? :D it is not broken, you can take that part out and reach inside to get some debris out but it isn't easy to put it back in, took mine off when I fixed the grill assembly (mine is a L/H drive) if it only makes noise in one position the problem is probably on the inside

    Good idea!!! what about the wiring connections? got any pictures or diagrams of the process? fitted front fogs over 1 year ago but I've had no luck finding a front fog switch at the breakers.

    it was a real pain to get to the bolts, besides the 2 that you can see in the pictures there is a 3rd one hiding behind the turbo

    GrumpyGel you rule!!! thank you very much for taking the time to take the pictures, I couldn't find my way round the back of the engine to find the 2 bolts that hold it to what looks like the coolant rail in picture 4454. tomorrow I have the day-off from work so going to try and get the remains...
