    Allisport Heater Matrix

I don't think there's anything wrong with the standard size, it's the asthmatic blower I find to be limiting it, blowing quite a lot of heat out now I've added a second fan.

What have you done to your Landie today.

Nothing, just enjoyed driving it today:) I did find the battery leads from my old disco, look to be about 50mm2 if I've got my measurements correct, perfect for a remote jump point. The box of bits that 'might come in handy' delivers again :D

What have you done to your Landie today.

Fitted the headlight upgrade relays, Had to de-pin the sockets to get them into the back of the light bowls, ran a thicker positive cable to the battery and ran the earth's back to the relay mounting screws so they're easier to get to. Will have to wait until dark to see how much difference...

Spot lights/light bar. Pulled by police

When I first started driving a few years ago I honestly thought there was something wrong with my eyes driving at night and people's headlights

Any reason to have a switchable split charge ??

Hmm I suppose I could always use the voltage sensing relay to trigger a normal large relay instead.

Any reason to have a switchable split charge ??

I did think that, but I don't think the second battery is getting the full alternator output through the relay? I've only got 20amp fuses either side 'This voltage sensing split charge relay is used for charging a second battery from your main vehicle (crank) battery. This relay is different...

Any reason to have a switchable split charge ??

I've just fitted one of those 30amp split charge relay things and put a switch on the 12v wire going to it so I can disconnect it if I need to, seller said I needed to isolate the relay if I want to bridge the batteries to start it if the main battery is dead.

1990 200TDI - Freezing cold here in the US!

Plenty you can do to make it better, mine can get unbearably hot. Here's a few things I've got - -Heated seat cover -Thick one peice rubber matting -Full insulation (mine is a army rad haz kit) -A curtain on the rear bulkhead to keep the warmth in the cabin. -Bilge fan in the heater air intake...

Put a second battery in, I'll wire it all up when it stops raining though  Found you can buy the headlight relay kits very cheap so I've ordered one, see if it's any good. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253127829741

    Cheap Chinese diesel heater.

Decided to put 100ah battery out the jag in instead, No issues since, draw must be minimal and the battery was knackered :) Its going to come in handy over the next few days.

    Rustproofing

IMO something like krown that's like spraying everything in oil minus rotting all the rubbers and minimal prep or a full treatment from someone like buzzweld so you know it's been done properly. Expensive though! You won't know if someone's done it properly until it's too late and it's rotten...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Ah I had to do it on a 300tdi conversion which was bad enough, just about managed without removing anything. Lubricates the pump I think

300tdi conversion? I also put some 2 stroke oil in today, I didn't think it would make the difference it has!
