Could be ecu problem. Check the socket for oil, injector harness can leak oil back.

    TD5 Defender Starting Problems

Is the fuel pump running, filter ok and system bled, fuel pressure regulator ok, TD5 engines require a really good battery to spin them over fast enough, is the battery up to the job.

    Battery position?

Grip the bottom of the front of the base cushion and pull up sharply, then slide forward and lift it out, refit by sliding the two rear lugs into location holes and press down on the front of seat base to snap back into place. No tools required, the battery box cover has a latch at the front...

    Defender td5 10P - no air pressure

They are more than scratches, more like gouges and looks like major damage as far (as turbo blades are concerned), a turbo specialist would throw that cartridge in the scrap bin, you may get away with running it for a while but I would think the bearing will suffer damage before too long. If it...

    Defender td5 10P - no air pressure

Did you put the damaged turbine cartridge back in, turbine blades are very finely balanced and any damage will cause serious trouble if you continue to run it like that, I would not risk driving it like that. They can spin at upto 200,000 rpm.

    Defender td5 10P - no air pressure

The first thing I would check are the air hoses to the turbo and to and from the intercooler and the intercooler itself for leaks.

    300tdi cuts out,help pls

Next time it happens, take off the fuel filler cap and listen for air being sucked in, the vent may be blocked and causing a vacuum preventing fuel from being pulled out, try starting with the filler cap removed, (worth a try)

Pile of ****e tyre on new Defender

I would not put Continental tyres on my push bike, they are all rubbish and wear out very quickly, utter rubbish, my new Volvo XC90 had them on when I bought it, I could not wait to get rid of them. My Defender has General grabber TR tyres and they are a good all rounder.

    TD5 EGR Removal/Blanking

I refitted my EGR and Cat as the exhaust was embarrassingly smelly for normal road use and school run etc, not smokey just smelly, it is very much improved, cleaner and sweeter smelling and honestly there is hardly any difference in performance.
