    Freelander 2 57 plate

Easy enough to replace yourself, batteries are a few quid. All you need do is separate the fob in half, use a solder sucker to remove the battery solder, gently prize the battery out. Use a soldering iron and solder to replace it. Job done

What have you done to your Freelander today

That's effective. My HFS has more sections that don't work than do ...helps a little though.

    Spray cans

As above, used them before with no problems. Decent quality paint/can spray pressure etc.

    Replacement Defender Alarm

For me, alarms rely on someone hearing the bleddy thing going off and checking to see if its 'real' or not. Rarely happen's unless you hear your own vehicle alarm. Some form of tracker would be my preference together with mechanical devices and a simple 'hidden' isolation switch.

    Wheel nuts

Good point, something just doesn't look quite right to me, the wheel centre doesn't look like its supported by the hub. Might be just the angle at which the photo was taken.

    Wheel nuts

Doesn't seem to be a lot of thread poking through the wheel on the final photo, how much of the threaded stud actually enters the nuts? not a lot by looks of it.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 diesel starting on 3 cylinders, now running properly, after cylinder head change.

Had a freelander 1 fail the mot on emissions a few years back, tried everything to resolve before eventually replacing the cat. When I removed the cat, it was completely hollow and all the contents had blown out the tail pipe somewhere along the way.:)

    Pricing for Insurance

What about 28k for a converted 1989 110?, not sure that an insurance company would cover that? maybe they would. Strange times. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defender-Overland-Camper/294003933854?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Oh, this is with no MOT

    Freelander advice

Not an expensive job or cost for parts - cheaper if you DIY but you will need wheel tracking checked afterwards. All comes down to the price, if they are asking top notch then go elsewhere.

Yes, seems they are. Pellpax sell them but want £15 delivery for that reason. Will wait till my local shop opens.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Brakes in snow juddering and not working

All I do know is that if I were going downhill in snow, the last thing I'd be wanting to press would be the brake. Let the engine do the work if poss

Freelander 2 (LR2) Brakes in snow juddering and not working

As Nodge says, law of physics...... doesn't matter if you have 2, 4, or 6 wheel drive. When you need to stop, the tyres need to grip the road. Drive slower and use the engine braking.
