I had a similar problem with the hub binding once the stub axle bolts were tightened. I had bought a refurb kit from Paddocks including the top and bottom swivel bearings, in the end I went to the Land Rover main dealer and bought genuine swivel pin bearings and it all fitted together perfectly...

Go to your local motorbike shop and ask if they can make a copy with Goodrich brake hose.

Just a thought, but could you not just measure the length needed and have some stainless Goodrich brake hose made up ? I have had this done on motorcycles in the past where you had one hose from the brake master cylinder to a spliter then two hoses to each caliper, this was replaced with two...

Another good thing about going in May, early June is that most of the fannys don't do the NC500 until July and August when the school's are on holiday !

I did this last year, but I used a campervan ! We took a week but you could easily take two weeks to see everything / go everywhere. The best time would be end of May beginning of June as this is usually a dry spell for the West Highlands and there is a bonus of few midges ! Plenty of good...

When you tighten the bolts up does the leak go away ?

I took my window switches out last week to check them. Just release the radio, mine was held in with two 2 or 3 mm allen screws, pull the radio out, you don't have to disconnect any of the wires and poke the switch out from the back with your finger.

YRM do a galvanised replacement which can be fitted without lifting the body, I did it last year in about four hours.

When I removed my vent cover it was a hard job, really good sticky masticy tape holding it in place.

Mine were held in place by what I can only describe as double sided sticky tape.

My double cab roof was leaking at the join across the top, I used Captain Tolleys creeping crack cure and this fixed the leak.

I bought a rear door for my double cab from SP 4x4 and it fitted perfectly. Going by other people's experiences maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket at the same time !!!

I bought genuine parts from Land Rover, new top pin and bearing and new bottom bearing both Timken. Everything fits as it should, the Brit Part top bearings don't fit properly and I tried two sets.

I'm pretty sure early td5's had the same dash as 300 tdi's.
