L322 Fixed! - P0046 - Where is the boost control solenoid?

What an unbelievable fight that was to remove! Pretty much spent the entire day on that job. Just in case anyone is wondering, the rubbish shallow bolts are a T31.25 I think. I tried several different T30 bits and they all fitted equally as badly as each other so yeah, you guessed it. 2 of...

L322 Adaptive Dynamics Height Sensor issue (but it works...)

Moving through the list of issues with my 4.4 TDV8, I have also started to get an issue with the Adaptive Dynamics which is complaining of a height sensor on the NSR: ADCM-Active Damping C1A05-22 (2E) Rear left height sensor - General signal failure - signal amplitude>maximum ( on 24-06-2024...

L322 Fixed! - P0046 - Where is the boost control solenoid?

Small update, after waaaay too much procrastinating, I finally jacked the car up last night, removed the wheel to and found that the boost control solenoid is actually quite easy to get to. In my state of gratified astonishment I then went about removing the circlip that holds the actuator rod...

L322 Parking Aid Module - what's the difference?

New PAM arrived today, 10 mins later it's all working. That's one job off the list then.

Peeled off the "Gangsta Tints". I don't like black cars with dark tinted windows and mine just looked like a van! As it was parked in the sun and everything was hotter than Shania Twain in the late '90s I thought it would be a good way to spend some of my lunch break. They peeled off without...

L322 Fixed! - P0046 - Where is the boost control solenoid?

If you have wiring that would be really helpful as I am praying that's where the issue is. There is some definite rodent damage on the RHS above the head and wiring that's been repaired there so I feel that's a free and easy check to do. Continuity is a good start if you know the colours...

L322 Fixed! - P0046 - Where is the boost control solenoid?

I've mentioned recently that I've "treated myself" to a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue to replace my fully mechanically sorted 2010 3.6 TDV8 Vogue. Perhaps not the biggest of upgrades or changes but I really wanted the 4.4, 8 speed and an ivory trim, all of which this car has. It has also only covered...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The new (to me) 4.4 has been complaining; "EGR Flow Insufficient". So I decided to look into that and while I was there to remove the donut intake and inspect the rubbers to see if they were the cause of my sporadic low boost pressure issue. There was definitely a little evidence of EGR...

L322 Parking Aid Module - what's the difference?

Thanks, that's some interesting insight. I realised that I have a whole spare car currently as I haven't sold it and decided to try the unit from that in mine. I thought it would also tell me if I could use a different prefix. I swapped it into my current car and hey presto, everything works...

L322 Parking Aid Module - what's the difference?

Do any of you fine folk know what the difference is in the Parking Aid Modules? Or have you fitted one with a slightly different part number? Mine has the forbidden coffee in it! It's like it's. not even trying any longer which is disappointing as most of the parts are still there...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did an oil service and filters on the new (to me) 4.4 and it went through the MOT yesterday, usual advisories for subframe bushes that I will do on the rear and brake pipes while I'm there because that will come up soon enough if I don't. Got a friend coming to do the perished CV gaiters this...

L322 Range Rover SOLD - 2010 (facelift) Range Rover Vogue for sale

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204825348126 Because I am an absolute genius, I've spent almost 2 years getting my L322 to a really good place and being a reliable car which I love. In fact, so deep is my love for it that I saw a shiny (but broken) 4.4 TDV8 and bought that last week, having a pair...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That's the worst part of the job isn't it, especially on the driveway. I can either have it on the floor or I can tighten the bolts! I use a bottle jack under the bottom ball joint and when it starts to lift the car off the axle stand that's about the same as having it on the floor and then...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Did a bit of work on the new (to me) 4.4 today. It has had an alarming rattle on the front end and if you brake sharply you could feel the wheels coming back to meet you! Radius arm bushes were shot to bits but the bottom ball joint on the driver's side was a whole new level of destroyed, it...

I always feel sorry for the ones that get left behind. Sorry to read this news mate. I lost my dad last year to long term illness, he's in a good place now but his best friend is still a bit lost. I still keep in touch with him as he's been constant throughout my life. The great part is that...

Here you go sir: Looks like 42-43mm to the base of the R for Range and 44mm to the base of the R for Rover (when including the trim piece) I checked this on both cars to make sure it wasn't that one had had its badges removed so I'm as confident as I can be that this is accurate. Richard.

I used mine to go and buy another one... Oh, why oh why do we do it? The driveway is looking pretty cramped with a pair of L322s flanking the Discovery 4. I got it in my head that I needed a 4.4 TDV8 and then I found this one locally that was a great price because, well, it's broken of...

How to reach the power steering hose L322

I have found that every time I need to work on mine it is always easier to just remove everything in the way. Pretty sure that involves draining the coolant 99% of the time. No L322 has had coolant over a year old. Ever! :) Replace the alternator? Drop the coolant. (I guess you did too)...
