    It gets worse..

So I did a light rebuild on a new to me 200tdi before putting it in my burnt out rebuild thread I took the sump off and inspected the main bearings. They were still good but would have replaced if needed (tail), and then resealed the sump and new rear crank seal. I then took the head off (top)...

    Raptor Dash

My stereo is a shallow one and it came with the mounting cage so was just a. Case of slotting the cage in and bending the tabs down to hold it tight and secure.

    What 'was' here?

Ah ok. Makes more sense. I thought it was a trick question! What you have is the mountings for the early three individual seats, but I believe the later seats and/or the split 2-1 seats have a different mounting and securing hardware. I am just learning about this currently as I rebuild my...

    What 'was' here?

Am I missing something else? That is where the second row seat sits. That’s what the little flat section is for. And it hinges forwards on some brackets mounted to the front of the seat box. And you should have a little latch on the door side of it that then locks the seat in place.

    What 'was' here?

Which part of the photo are we looking at for the “what should be there? Everything I can see just looks like the mounting and support for the second row seats?

Rear hinged light guards for a Defender

It’s just some stainless p-clips. I got mine from eBay. Even if there is a fitting kit will be a fraction of the cost to get your own fittings. You then drill out the relevant side rivets on the corner capping to fit them. And then drill two holes for the bolts on the none hinged part.

I have bought a station wagon

Having partially fitted the front seatbelts I am not beginning to look more closely at their mounting. This is on a stand alone thread but am asking and linking to here to keep everything together LINK. I have all of the brackets now, and have front belts, I am hoping to find some rears at...

I have bought a station wagon

This progress has lead me to a couple mor questions. firstly are B pillars any use to anyone/worth anything or as they are welded do they come as single piece with the sill. Although the rest of it the sills had long since turned to oxide dust the b pillars are in good condition and if no...

I have bought a station wagon

Made a little more progress with the rear floor now bolted in and the front seatbelts in position. And I have begun removing the front floor panels to allow the body to be removed but have once again come up against bolts that are so rusty they no longer resemble bolts!

I have bought a station wagon

I have the doors, they are currently in the garage being painted. The whole rear body is about to come off as it is not being fitted to this vehicle so I assume I can space and fettle accordingly once fitted to my 110 using the doors to set the spacing? You say there is some give, what are you...

    Seat belt bolt/fitting kit

As some of you know I am currently restoring a station wagon rear body to drop onto my hardtop before then restoring the station wagon at a later date LINK. I am beginning to look at the seatbelt mounting. I have all of the brackets now, and have front belts, I am hoping to find some rears at...

    Steve's Land Raft

What are the rear guard set, I will have to look into that and see if I can copy them with some more belting? I was only aware of the ones you have pictured and the little ones that stop mud flicking up the sides behind the front wheel?

    Steve's Land Raft

Are these the little mudflap editions that go onto the footwells? I was far to cheap to buy the fancy moulded ones you have and made some out of old conveyor belt! I also made some for the rear to replace the underside light covers which I then extended down to the bottom of the crossmember to...

    Rear slide window inserts

I haven’t watched the video but that is my experience with the front ones. I can’t see how the rear is any different.

agreed, looks a little low to be the windscreen mount, some closer pics of the area would certainly be beneficial.

    Rear slide window inserts

Exactly, that is all it is, very simple, just fold it in half and slide it in. Needs a bit of a wiggle, to get it over the top of the window glass but that is just a case of sliding the window back and forth either holding or moving the felt with the glass to move it though the channel relative...
