    EAS Compressor not working`

Thanks for all the advice - It is on the stops and no I do not have an error message. I will be looking at it tomorrow - and watching the videos later tonight. Possibly the buzzing sound is not the compressor but I can't hear it now which is why I linked it to the compressor. Anyway will...

    Cruise control

I had same problem. eventually traced it to the brakelight switch mounted below the steering column, operating from the pedal. It was a plastic thing (can't remember what it looked like but it was a bit awkward to squeeze your hand up to it) It was a bit loose and I had to click it back into...

    EAS Compressor not working`

Intermittently my P38 compressor (I think) will take an age to start pumping when starting the car after a lengthy stop. But evntually (2 or 3 miles) it does pump up. Today it will not pump at all. No warning messages, just the "entry" light on and the normal height level light flashing...

    She's lovely

So what's wrong with the P38? Nothing much if you ask me (this week anyway). Just completed about 2000 faultless miles pulling the caravan to South of France and back and never missed a beat. Lots of other Brits towing with their shiny new BM's, Audi's etc, all at least 8 years newer...

    P38 Pollen filter

Thanks for all the help. I never knew (or noticed) there were two filters. Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye......

    P38 Pollen filter

Thanks for that Paul, but not sure we are talking about the same thing? On my P38 the pollen filter is removable. In engine compartment passenger side bulkhead just below windscreen. You remove screws and pull filter out. Or is there another filter somwhere? Have hoovered the gauze...

Hello friends Off to France early tomorrow morning. Just doing last minute checks. Everything seems ok untill checked pollen filter - completely bunged up with leaves and debris. Obviously not been changed for ages - so much for service!). Why didn't I look before??!! Too late to do...

Huge amounts of condensation air con

Got it! - Actually I poked it out from under the car and water appeared - I didn't realise there was a drain tube on that side - thought there was only one on the drivers side. Thanks for your advice.

Huge amounts of condensation air con

Morning Gents P38. This could be something and nothing. Noticed lots of clear water (not coolant) in passenger footwell. Looked under bonnet and the Air Con pipe that disappears into bulkhead passenger side was dripping with lots and lots of condensation and I guess this was what was in...

    Need a laugh?

I just been out and I bought it!. I asked him about the slipping liner and apparently it's the Queen Mary. Slipped 'er moorings or somethin. The "top of the Range" towbar was worded wrongly. He meant to say "Top of the Range Rover". He fitted it himself but because he had the instructions...

    Changing heater o rings

Cheers for that - you mean just let the water drain out when you release the o rings or is there a drain plug? I know I'm ignorant!

    Changing heater o rings

Morning everyone Searching the history of doing this little job, I see that one person says don't drain water out first, just improvise a cardboard funnel to direct any water into a bowl in the footwell when you break the seal of the o rings. This seems a good way to go to me - is this the...

    HELP! Can't get Radio out!!

This is stupid. Changing the Blend Motors. Going well thanks to Gav etc. Done the hard bit and removed the lower blend motor driver side. Just need to get to the plug and wiring behind Radio. My Radio needs two prongs along the top (not at the sides as some cars are). Slid prongs in...

    Air con warning

Best thing to do first is check all aspects of the air con/heating and see what isn't working. Blend Motors most likely. If it is Blend Motor, look at that Range Rover site Rangiegal told you about, Blend Motor Diagnosis and Replacement it tells you how to check to see which blend motor it is...

    Replacing Blend Motors advice

Thanks to Gav, for taking the time to answer my queries (especially as you have obviously been busy with new 'van!) It's all really helpful and gives me the confidence to do a job that I just wouldn't have tackled without the help from this forum. I will be completing it (I hope!) on Wednesday...

    Replacing Blend Motors advice

I'm changing Blend motors (well temp one at least on drivers side). I have a few question below if you'll be patient with me!!! I bought a set of 3 new blend motors off Ebay (sorry if I outbid anybody!) and I am following the procedure here Blend Motor Diagnosis and Replacement as recommended...

    General Grabbers

On my P38 I changed 4 Pirelli Scorpions for General Grabbers last year. First set of replacement tyres from new - even then the old ones were still legal from the tread depth viewpoint (50k miles) but changed them because there were a lot of small radial cracks which were frowned upon at the...
