Intermittently my P38 compressor (I think) will take an age to start pumping when starting the car after a lengthy stop. But evntually (2 or 3 miles) it does pump up. Today it will not pump at all. No warning messages, just the "entry" light on and the normal height level light flashing...

So what's wrong with the P38? Nothing much if you ask me (this week anyway). Just completed about 2000 faultless miles pulling the caravan to South of France and back and never missed a beat. Lots of other Brits towing with their shiny new BM's, Audi's etc, all at least 8 years newer...

Thanks for that Paul, but not sure we are talking about the same thing? On my P38 the pollen filter is removable. In engine compartment passenger side bulkhead just below windscreen. You remove screws and pull filter out. Or is there another filter somwhere? Have hoovered the gauze...

Got it! - Actually I poked it out from under the car and water appeared - I didn't realise there was a drain tube on that side - thought there was only one on the drivers side. Thanks for your advice.

Best thing to do first is check all aspects of the air con/heating and see what isn't working. Blend Motors most likely. If it is Blend Motor, look at that Range Rover site Rangiegal told you about, Blend Motor Diagnosis and Replacement it tells you how to check to see which blend motor it is...
