looking on ebay the same genuine electrics kit fits all years 2002 -2009 but people say they do and some say they dont, its the same with the tow bars apparently the difference is with the exhaust bracket but it can easily be modifird but how? any ideas greatly received

Not tried the dipstick out but removed the top cover and ran it and it fired oil out of 1 of the top cover bolt holes on the o/s of the engine. It went everywhere. Tried to remove the cam cover breather but the Allen key headed screws are rounded

fixed!! I disconnected the battery for 10 mins reconnected it and everything is back to normal, must of been a software glitch in the system :):)

removed housing and there is a rubber o ring at the back of it, which had flattened off so not sealing correctly, fitted new o ring, cost me 5pence and re bolted housing up, hey presto no more leaks!!

fluid is a nice red/pink colour, on other autos i have owned they didnt slip no where near as bad as these range rovers do, just wondered if there was a mod to make it slip less, had my trannie checked by ashcrofts and they reckon it's as normal, but forgot to ask if it can be modded in any way...

Hello all, i am just wondering if there is a way of upgrading or modifying the 2.5 diesel auto box so it slips less? i.e fitting different e.c.u or reprogramming or different torque convertor? any one any ideas? i hate working the engine so hard all the time for little speed.

yes they are tight already, just done some trolling aroung google, there is a spring and 2 washers behind the cover, the spring isnt under much tension so should be ok to remove cover and change gasket, i think?

Thanks for the warning, i just looked on rave and apparently it's a cover for the timing plunger, part 6 on the injection pump schematic, there doesnt seem to be anything behind it that can fall out but i'll wait and see if anyone knows any different, i wont be touching anything involving timing...

Hi mate, yes i got a full switch panel but the screens faulty, everything works ok except the screen is partially pixelated, you pay the postage or collect and it's yours mate! can't say fairer than that LOL:)
