Noticed on my td5 these are going to need attention for the mot.No knocking but the dust boots have split on one and slightly perished on another. Can you get just the boots? Can they be changed without removing the ball joints,which I understand are pressed in??

Sump and rocker cover gasket,oil pump bolt for peace of mind (came loose too easy with a quarter drive ratchet too !!) Oil and filters and injector loom. Whilst at it I found a few other things that need attention...as you do

Ahhhhhh excellent,thank you.that bit where it says the genuine handset key inserted..........my ign key is a blank key as it’s different from the door barrel for some reason unknown to me.So I unlock with a fob which can key open the door barrel but will NOT fit the ign barrel.so in an ideal...

When I bought my latest td5 the seller said to me that unless you start the car within x amount of seconds of using the fob to unlock the car it automatically immobilises itself. So after so long of being parked up without being locked and then unlocked the car will need the fob unlock button...

Finished putting it all back together,chucked water over it,seems dry so happy days.Also collected a full service kit,sump and rocker gaskets,and the injector loom too.I went for a look round upullit and got myself a spare ACE block to get sorted for when my pipes eventually fail.

This morning when going through a drive thru I noticed when ticking over my td5 will hiss for a second every minute or so,coming from the back end.Is this normal or am I to roll around on the floor laughing my ass off underneath spraying soapy water everywhere in search of a leak?

Yes that’s the best kit to use.ive used that kit twice before on two separate cars
