Its possible that the viscous coupling in the transfer box is siezed. I ran my 91vogue like this for approx 6 months with no problems. Hope this helps.

Hi 1991 3.9 vogue, after a half hour normal running the gear lever gets VERY hot too hot to touch. Im talking about the metal auto lever just below the plastic .Fluid level is ok.any ideas please?

Hi removed prop today and car feels much better . I have another question. Is it possible to fit a manual transfer box to my existing auto box I have one that is coupled to a VM 2.5 diesel. anyone know if this is possible. Thanks again for all help

HiI I think that I have a problem with the transfer box in my 91 vogue,lots of tyre squeal on slow corners and can feel a judder when on full lock.Any tips on how to check if diff is permanently locked.
