Well I've done it now. I'll probably regret this very soon, but I've paid a deposit on a pretend Land Rover so the Disco is on ebay: 1997 Land Rover Discovery 300 Tdi S - (6 seater not 7!) on eBay, also, Land Rover Range Rover, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 17-Feb-08 13:14:08 GMT)

I'd imagine it's same as 300Tdi: At running temp 720rpm +/- 20rpm

Not to mention the 200Tdi engine being a far better unit than the old TD

No mate it hasn't. Having owned an XS and then a TD5 Adventurer with no end of problems (mainly electrical) I made a point of searching out one minus bells/whistles/ sunroofs etc. I can fix this one myself!

If you buy one with all the gizmos you need to get it cheap as it will cost a fortune to keep fixing it :D

Hmm, interesting. All a fair bit older with more miles. No doubt many of them are basket cases too as most were when I was looking for mine.

Yes, I probably am mad and will miss it big time, but at nearly £90 for a tank of Diesel which I'm getting through in a week sometimes (540 miles) it's getting a bit silly. I'd only change it for another LR so it's going to have to be a Freelander Td4 I'm afraid. It's a 6 seater!!! :D I...
