Had the same thing , ordered a radiator and where it should go to cooler for a manual they have dust caps covering and you use the same radiator for automatics / manual , we checked with manufacturer etc and put it in no probs.. [ well when i say No probs thats a whole different ball game to do...

Right chaps ... new radiator is in , filled up with water to check if head is ok but radiator is boiling at the top not lower down , and heaters in car won't work, do we have an air lock somewhere or is the thermostat shot ? or do you have any other suggestions .... and no P38 Ireland i am not...

I will have you know i have had 2 sets of shiny new glow plugs put in since i have owned it, 18 months !!!!!! and the turn on 3 times came from 2 other p38 owners who have been through this malarky... Have found kicking the tyres , beating bonnet with large branch etc,though quite futile ...
