Was that a brand new screen you bought?

Possibly a duff new starter as said. I had the same issues as you have described. Slow cranking in the cold, but fine when warm. Changed the starter for a new one and it starter no bother.

I used grey zinc primer from paints 4 trade and manor chassis black on my chassis. Both paints are suited for application in low temperatures

I can highly recommend turbocentreuk, they refurbished my 200tdi turbo and were very helpful over the phone too.

Certainly looks the business! I cant remember if it was on here or LR4x4 but someone used vectra electric window motors on the defender mechanism, all depends on what you want to spend.

Just a wee update. Had the set refurbished for £196 including vat and delivery. Fitted them at the weekend and it seams to be allot more responsive coming out of junctions and i'm not changing down gears half as much :) All in all very happy, it will be interesting to see if the mpg might...

Evening folks, i'm looking to get my injectors refurbished on the 200tdi. I got a quote locally (aberdeen) for £75+vat each, which i thought was a bit steep! I noticed the refurb thread for them but if rebuilt them i'd still need to get them tested to ensure they where working at the correct...

Cut the seal but it's a nightmare to fit again. I took mine to scot glass and they refitted it for some kitty money

Does your defender sound like a train going along, well mine did! After a bit of hunting I found a different brake pad retaining kit to try out. It seams to have taken the slop out of the pads but only time will tell. new pins at top and old ones at bottom. A pic of them in the calliper...
