    Big Clunk no drive!

It's a series, that's pretty much the classic symptom of a broken rear driveshaft - try jamesmartin's diagnostic technique, if you have drive in 4wd but no drive in 2wd but you can see the rear prop turning it's a driveshaft. Not too expensive to fix but a bit fiddly, should take you an...

    Stop cable

Looking at the parts book, the diesel stop cable doesn't have an outer sleeve, it just slides in the lock barrel assembly. The petrol choke cable which fits in the same hole has a friction sleeve (to hold it against the carb return spring) which sort of clips in to the barrel. You might have the...

Got the head off - what to do?

If it's an unleaded head gently lap the valves in with some grinding paste (can you still buy the stuff? - had my tin half full for years....) If it's leaded consider getting the seats replaced. New seals is a must - they harden with age - I'm fairly sure there's minimum spring lengths in the...

Series III - 2.6 6Cyl Gearbox removal help

If in doubt angle grind off the bolts and replace - it's quicker! A dremel or similar is useful for those difficult to reach bolts. Floor panels should come out easily as they are big screws into spire nuts, seatbox comes out fairly easily with a bit of grinding, engine lift through door to move...

Presumably by interior light switch you mean the dash illumination? It's a different sort of switch, 2 position as opposed to 3. Smoke may imply you've burnt out some wiring somewhere - time for some serious multimeter and wiring diagram work.

Brakes problem - HELP ! - tell me what to do next

It does look like it's the rears that are the issue. The single cylinders usually bleed OK (ish) it's worth checking the obvious - is the bleed nipple on the top? You'll need the pistons all the way in, adjust the brakes all the way before bleeding or pop the drums off and push the pistons...

    owt to be concerned about?

If it's petrol then it's running on - coked up cylinders can cause this, the hot deposits can ignite fuel. Some carbs have a shut off solenoid which cuts the fuel to the slow running (tickover) jet when the ignition is switched off which, if you've got one, might have failed. There's a similar...

    Clutch pedal solid

Yes but it'll be easier (not essential) if you take the seat box out. Remove all the bits, jack up slightly with the jack wheels lined up fore and aft, stick a bit of wood under the back of the engine and drop the lot so the wood is taking most of the weight (makes it easier to put back on if...
