Do a FULL oil and filter change. Make sure all tyres have the same tread depth. Then drive it and see what niggles you experience. That's where we started. After which we could then dig deeper.

Air Filter changed Turbo Filter changed ERG Blanking kit fitted and tested (TD4) Front ARB Suspension Struts replaced. Result, a much quieter, pokier, hopefully more economic, and no more knocking from the suspension Freelander 1.

After 3 months owning a FL1 2001 Td4 GS Auto with 130.000 on the clock, which needed a bit of TLC, we have found ours to be a cracking work horse, and got her for £750.00 If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, I (N not J that is!) would recommend one as when you solve a gremlin the smile...

Problem solved as the head unit wasn't Bluetooth compatible, but the Parrot Minikit Neo 2 HD has ticked every box. Thanks for the info folks.

Some fantastic advice thanks folks. I tried to pry back the cylinder with the unit in place and the bleed nipple slightly open. Couldn't get enough pressure on it so took the massive G=Clamp route and that worked a treat. Also handy when trying to re-seat the caliper as I hadn't pushed it back...
