Hi, got a similar type problem with my Dads P38. Its been left standing a while and the electrics are how u say..buggered! They go haywire flashing up with lots of different messages and the vehicle wont start. Is above the type of remedy we need to be looking at? cheers

Yep, On my 94 theres 2 main bolts just on the outsides of the chassis, and 2 tiny bolts holding the corner bumprettes on although these just came away with the bumper

yep thats exactly what had happened. I think the starter motor had actually been replaced about 3 times and in that time it must have rusted and snapped as there was very little of it left! Dont know if I was lucky then to get away with no trouble from that! what a tough old engine I have! ;)

best to get another box? Is it difficult to change then? What did you do when yours snapped? My gearbox is about 10 years old now but if the selector can be changed without to much grief by taking off the transfer box and replacing it wouldn;t that be worthwhile?
