Just to clear this one up, 3 amigos was becoming more of a constant thing that was annoying me, so decided to swap slabs and check plugs today. As I removed one plug another came out with it (without pushing tab in) So I think that one of the plugs wasn't fully pushed in. After 15 mins of bumpy...
Have to agree with all of you on this one then, and have infact found some others, again 16" and a more "preferred" design. Maybe not the comet ones I really wanted but will do the job for now :)
Found some nice tyres for sale, and not too far away. Price is right but not sure on the alloys, I've always had the 18" facelift ones, but want to go 16 for comfort. Just wondering if anyone has a pic of these on a silver D2? Call me picky but I want it to look nice :)
Thanks mate, have asked him for a part refund since I'm going to have to buy 2.. or 3 new tyres now. Reason I bought these were to avoid that.. since they do have good tread. Probably should have checked first but took his word for it.
Hey, just picked up what I was told were 235/70/16s
Went to fit them and realised I've got 2x 255/65/16s
2x 245/70/16s
And the spare is different again..
If the same size are kept on the same axle will this be a problem? It works out about 10mm diamiter different.. will it mess with abs/TC?
Or...
Well haven't checked the slabs yet, but had to take the fuse box out earlier. My sunroof has been leaking for a long time now, fob receiver has been barely working for a couple weeks and today most of the bcu controlled functions stopped working along with the flashing "B"
Saw fusebox was wet...
Ahhh.. well, will pull slabs out and check plugs when it stops raining.. so God knows when. I've already got a spare slabs ecu, if you recall I got one when I was having those ride height problems.
Really hope it's not a case of broken wire, sure does sound a hassle.
Cheers
Did end up swapping the abs modular (only yesterday) as the fault didn't occur *too much*
Had it off a low mileage V8. Now... Again same fault code after a while.. sometimes caused by bumpy roads etc.
Any idea where to start checking wiring..?
Cheers
Ah well... not too sure whether to be really pleased, or a little embarrassed, or a bit of both. After getting tired of the clogged up cat I decided to chuck my spare de cat pipe on there, and it must have twisted the exhaust a little (a couple of hangers have snapped) So I got under and...
When I had this issue with the heaters it was just after I fitted a cheap aftermarket thermostat which failed very quickly. Which wasn't nice cause I was in a -20 degree climate!
Remove your old one and take it to a hydraulics shop, its a pretty standard washer. But its not a copper washer, its a dowty washer, a metal washer with a rubber seal, they should match it up for you.
Did check all my wheel bearings, and can't find play in any. Im not exactly sure how to check the CV joins other than looking at the boots, I have tried turning at full lock but no noise until I get my speed up to 10mph or so, nothing below that, and still, only when turning right.
Although I've had my ace disconnected for a little while now and running in locked bars mode due to it needing work, was curious about a couple things. I found that it would corner terribly for the first say 5 hard corners, then after that the ACE would work perfect and keep it level. No faults...
Just part of the fun of being a young lr owner
Could be worth a check just popping your details through compare the market or something to see what prices come up, Aflux might match if you find one cheaper.
